What to wear when you walk your dog

This post is sponsored by Cuddl Duds but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.

I get up every morning at 6:45 to walk my dog, Zuni, and while it's never easy, it's particularly challenging this time of year because we're awake before the sun is up. And while I'm frequently tempted to roll out of the house in my nightgown, I do manage to pull on a Cuddl Duds top and leggings, because believe it or not, there are people already out and about at that hour. Here's what I wear when I walk Zuni.

Even though I'm not an early riser by nature, I love our morning walks, because it's bonding time for us, with the added benefit of a little cardio. Zuni is still young and very agile, so I need to wear something that lets me move. I love these pieces from Cuddl Duds because they are super flexible—I can bend down, move around easily, and even run if necessary—and yet super comfy at the same time. If I were being totally lazy, I could even sleep in them and pop right out of bed in the morning; I have not ruled this out for when the weather gets colder, but for now, I keep them right next to my bed so they're ready to go in the morning.

My top is the Soft Knit tunic hoodie; I already own the matching leggings (you've seen them on the weekend and on Black Friday) and this top is just as soft—it's lightweight yet warm and has a nice drape to it. I love the thumbholes and the fact that it's hooded, which is good for frizz protection if it's foggy in the morning. Oh, and it's just long enough to cover my bum, which makes it appropriate for wearing with leggings. I'm in a size small for reference.

My leggings are the Soft Wear with stretch leggings, and the name is entirely accurate—these are the softest ones I've ever owned. Seriously, sometimes I even forget I'm wearing pants when I have these on. (Ok, I know, leggings aren't technically pants, but you get the picture.) They blend modal with spandex, so they're on the lighter side; if you live in a colder climate, you could even layer them under jeans or pants in winter. I also love the waistband, which dips a bit in front and doesn't cut into my stomach at all. I'm in a size small in these as well.

Last but not least, all of Cuddl Duds warmwear is 30% off through 11/6 online and in store at Kohl's. It's the perfect time to stock up on all your warm and cozy layers!
