Right now I feel a bit like Edmond Dantes.  Admittedly, nine years at a desk job without a solid summer vacation is not the same thing as being imprisoned for fourteen years and being cut off from the world.  But… you know how when he gets out of prison and he’s on ships and he’s sailing and he’s got that great Mediterranean skin, but he’s marked with a permanent pallor?  That’s how I feel.  I’ve been caged for too long and can’t get a tan.
