In China the Market is now flooded with such a variety of apps (some of them pretty eccentric) that is almost impossible to have all of them or to know that some of them even exist. Of course wechat would be the perfect and first choice for this post, but it won't. Wechat is a whole world that needs a post by itself, it cannot be together with the other APP because wechat IS the marketing in China (One of these days I promise I will make a whole post about Wechat. And why it's so important for marketing your product, brand, etc. in the Chinese market).China does not only have a flourishing mobile app market, it is also a unique one. With such a giant mobile market and great variety of app stores, the world of China’s apps is like a mobile jungle if you are not familiar with it. Also, Chinese shoppers currently account for nearly half of the global luxury market, providing an invaluable demand to brands in every segment.

Food App

Dianping

Dazhong Dianping was launched in April, 2003. It was born to collect feedbacks on restaurant services and sharing reviews with consumers community. Also, group purchasing and coupon promotion are the most used services (and also a part of the profit of Dianping, don't think it's the only one or the most profitable, having the place ranked in the first page or the good reviews are other profitable services that Dianping offer)

Bon App

Bon App is the "foreigner" version (even if now there is also a Chinese version available) of Dianping. Contrary of Dianping this App is usually pretty honest and the comments and reviews on it are pretty much real. The people behind Bon App are also pretty kind and honest people so if you find reviews that are honestly Fake you can send them an email with proof and they will help to remove the false review. Sometimes the problems are more the users itself for this APP as some of them are not really food writers but they pretend to be with a lot of arrogance (not the APP's fault).

AI DAI CHU

Do you want to try Chinese food at home? This is the APP for you. You can choose the chef, the dishes that you would like to have and the region of the dishes. The guy will buy the food and will cook at home for you, he will serve at the table, he will clean everything and then, quietly, will go away. It's brilliant and it's very cheap, less than buying food in a supermarket. In the APP you can choose date and time to see which chefs are available and sometimes you can find also cook that are available the same day. At the end you leave a feedback of the experience so that all the future users can also decide the chef according to previous votes.

Fashion App

This is a Social fashion platform that allows users to actively make and engage in new social connections with other users, stylists / consultants, and celebrities, access current fashion news and blogs for tips and inspirations, hire in-app stylists / consultants for expert advice and shopping assistance, and engage in fun in-app fashion contests.  Its genuine purpose is to help individuals become more stylish, fashionable, and self-confident.

How did you come up with the Idea of this APP?

"In 2007, I had an idea to create a fashion app - explain Todd Okimoto, CEO of the APP company WECARE- to help females make better decisions regarding wear, purchase, and style decisions by improving the quality of feedback. This is a classic. It was born as an elite/invite-only social network in 2007, after gaining 3 millions of users it became an APP. P1 is a Chinese picture sharing app designed to let people express and discover everything lifestyle is, for people with a taste for the finer things in life. The app focuses on two main values: sharing and discovery.

The creator of the APP is a young french guy of 20 years old, Pierre Terroitin, still going to school, that, at some point of his life, thought to create everything that a new comer, a tourist or a friend that is visiting really need.

How did you come up with the idea of this APP?

"I came in China a few time and went a lot to fake market each time - said Pierre - I had a really nice time bargaining and finding some cheap souvenirs I could offer to my friends. I noticed that some foreigners and some of my friends just arriving would spend some huge amount of money in fake markets since they had no experience of bargaining and no idea of the right price. That's when I decided I would create a tool to help people not being ripped off in fake and try to make them enjoy their time there. It took me a lot of time of visiting different markets, searching and asking for the best price of each item".

This application is a revolution in the dating world. Forget about Tinder, about "I like" and "I don't" and about the problem of the VPN. The taiwanese 朱致伟 created a dating APP that mix together the Tinder concept plus the gaming one.

How did you come up with the idea of this APP?

"People are so hungry to meet others - explain the developer and Cofounder of the company-  yet so shy to do so. So we have to give them a platform to do it". How does it work? To better match with the girl or guy of your dreams, the app will encourage entering contests and playing games so that there is a cool experience to discuss plus money prizes.

This is "everything inside" APP. It's a social media where you can share pictures like Instagram, it's a selling ticket point, it's a media website with journalists review about new places. Everything started with their official wechat account (followed by millions of people) and with the simple question "where to go?". Now Go is a successful APP that count millions of users and interesting events and reviews every day.

Li Hao Ma

It’s a brilliant idea (and a free APP) coming from a great young french lady, Rachel Daydou, that will change your day.  LiHaoMa (礼好吗) features hundreds of gifts offered by venues all around the city, food, drinks, sport, make up, events and much more.

ZUFANG

Looking for an apartment to rent? Here you go. This APP let you find the apartment by district, price and also number of rooms. Inside you can find the contact of the agent of the apartment, the pictures (double check the place to be sure they are real, don't forget you are still in China), the detailed description. There is also an option if you are looking just for a room. The App is pretty simple to use also for no-Chinese speakers but when you need to call be sure to have a Chinese friend with you.
