For weeks, I've been quietly stewing on the so-called Conservative Media's near total silence about The People's Convoy. It was an irritation that slowly increased from a simmer to a rolling boil and today I'm boiling over!

Why-oh-why won't the so-called Conservative Media cover The People's Convoy which most of us consider to be THE Freedom Event of the Century!?! They were generous enough with their coverage of the Canadian Freedom Convoy to Ottawa!

With the exception of a quick interview here or a brief article there, for over a month the Conservative Media has ignored The People's Convoy. Eric Bolling of Newsmax reportedly tried, but even his videos on YouTube are woefully out-of-date! After re-posting eight of my early Convoy articles, even the aggregator WhatFinger categorically stopped accepting my convoy articles after the  Convoy's meeting with Senators Cruz and Johnson.

I expect the Convoy to be ignored by the Mainstream/Legacy Media but damn it! Shouldn't the Conservative Media be better than the MSM!?! They enthusiastically covered the Canadian Freedom Convoy, which had no power to change the USA, but when an American peaceful convoy that might actually inspire change with no drama, no arrests and multiple cordial meetings with politicians during eight weeks of successfully rolling "from sea to shining sea"...all you get are crickets!

To paraphrase Alfred P. Doolittle in My Fair Lady, American Patriots are "wantin' to hear about the Convoy...waitin' to hear about the Convoy...willin' to hear about the Convoy." But can they find any current info about the Convoy? Nope! Nix, nada, nothing. Google, of course, is worthless. The only resources are Facebook groups, YouTube livestreams, the Convoy's website and AMERICA: The Blog. If you don't manage to somehow find yourself in those venues, you naturally assume the Convoy is kaput. That's why so many Patriots are surprised to learn  it's still going strong!

Heck! I'm struggling to find information too! To scratch together enough info for an article and to update  my Convoy News page I visit multiple livestreams and visit 5-10 websites and social media sites which may or may not be up-to-date! If it weren't for Gwyn's Convoy Meeting Notes, it'd be even more time consuming and frustrating!

The new 1776 is occurring under their very noses and the media, both Liberal and Conservative, have tunnel vision, conveniently obsessed with Ukraine-Ukraine-Ukraine. As Laura Ingalls Wilder wrote, "It's enough to make a saint use strong language."

Maybe they take their lead from the Mainstream/Legacy media and use the Daily Beast's "the convoy is dead" articles to scratch covering the convoy. Or maybe the Convoy is such a powerful method for change that they've been ordered to censor it, lest it gain even more traction among us lowly carbon-based, useless eater life forms they seek to eliminate. Or...or...or. Whatever the reason, it's a disgrace to snakes!

If I've learned anything from my favorite author, C. S. Lewis, it's to "clarify your terms." In other words, be accurate. Don't make assumptions. So I decided to take the top fourteen (14) Conservative News websites and search their sites for the word "convoy."

According to TechPresident, these are the top five sites for 2022.

In November 2021, Stopping Socialism published their Top 100 Conservative Sites, including news sites. Some of the top sites, which you'd assume would cover the convoy, include the following:

1. foxnews.com: There is only one US Convoy video on their YouTube channel with another five shown their website. Oh my goodness! I'm so underwhelmed!

2. breitbart.com: Nothing since Day 2 of the Convoy's stay near D.C. But lots of articles about the Canadian Convoy, the Russian war convoy. Blah, blah, blah. Good grief.
   
   
3. nypost.com: Two articles dated March 5th and 6th. After that, crickets.
   
   
4. theepochtimes.com: Thank goodness! Finally a site that is trying! They're consistently following the Convoy, writing about the high spots.
   
   
5. drudgereport.com: Conservative site!?! Really!?! I heard Drudge went all libtard and woke after Matt Drudge sold it. Anyways, their last US Convoy article is dated March 6th, 2022.
   
   
6. thegatewaypundit.com: The last good article about the Convoy was written on March 6th, 2022. After that...basically crickets. Now I'm getting perturbed! I expect better of The Gateway Pundit.
   
   
7. westernjournal.com: They haven't covered the Convoy since Ted Cruz rode with them.

I don't get it! Ever since Fake Biden held a Fake Inauguration after being Fake Elected, I've been struggling with writer's block. The Convoys were my deliverance. A beautiful Godsend! They changed my life, inspired endless articles, brought new friends and patriots like Csaba Vizi in my world. Apparently, the other Conservative media sites don't see it that way.

Like the family who donated the World War II coffin flag to the Convoy because The People's Convoy symbolized the first Freedom they had experienced since World War II, I too believe the Convoy is THE Freedom Event of our lifetimes.

For once, we're not waiting on a politician to save us. We the People have arisen to save America and Sean Hannity could only grant  Mike and Brian one lousy interview!?! Maybe that's why Mike Landis recently made an off-handed comment about Hannity "shunning" the Convoy.

Something is not right!

Before we criticize the Conservative Media for the beam in their eye, there might be the tiniest speck in the Convoy's eye. As much as I hate to criticize them in any way, they need the help of some hip social media warriors.

While my website was recently eviscerated on Reddit for being "1990's-ish," and maybe it is, the Convoy's website/PR could use some spit and polish too. It's a bit, um, utilitarian. PR and nuts-and-bolts announcements should be split onto separate webpages, not all lumped together on the homepage, IMHO.

Also, the joint Canadian/USA Convoys Press Release hasn't been uploaded. The Gallery hasn't been updated since before their arrival in Hagerstown. PDFs of their brochures should be added and their social media links moved to the top of the page. Their Gettr hasn't been updated since March 30th and their Instagram isn't exactly on fire either.

Damn! I hate to criticize such hardworking, sacrificial American heroes but it needed to be said.

Where the Convoy shines is grassroots, face-to-face networking. During this "rest" week in Banning, CA, they've been splitting into smaller groups, each visiting a truck stop, mall or tourist destination to spread the word of the "Tyrannical 10" bills in California while encouraging people to join the Convoy or, at the very least, join the rally in Sacramento! Today, livestreamer Alex Glasgow set up shop in front of the legendary Grauman's Chinese Theater to pass out pamphlets and hot dogs. Brilliant!!!

Now if their online charisma would match with their grassroots chutzpah, this thing would really take off and all media venues would be forced to sit up and take notice.

But who am I to criticize? I hide behind a computer screen because the idea of walking up to a total stranger and handing them a hotdog and brochure fills this introvert with abject terror! ;)

In 1941, Sicilian Hollywood director, Frank Capra, released Meet John Doe in which We the People peacefully rise up to take back the United States of America, led by the most unlikely hero: a homeless tramp with a fictional backstory played by Gary Cooper.

I fell in love with Capra's movies Meet John Doe, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington and You Can't Take it With You as a young woman. Capra's love of America oozed from every scene as only an immigrant can love America. You see, Frank Capra never forgot watching his Sicilian parents kneel down and kiss the ground when they immigrated to California. That's why he worked lessons in patriotism and putting integrity and enjoyment of Life above greed into so many of his movies. I learned these lessons at Capra's knee and they've stood me in good stead my whole life.

The rise of President Trump and now The People's Convoy have been the fulfillment of Capra's movies which, in retrospect, seem eerily prophetic.

Mr. Trump went to Washington just like Jimmy Stewart in Mr. Smith Went to Washington and the crooked "Taylors and Paines" treated Mr. Trump exactly as Mr. Smith was treated in the movie. Fabricated dossiers. False allegations. Attempted impeachment. The works!

Doubtless, Mr. Trump experienced terrible discouragement but, just like Mr. Smith, our Mr. Trump possesses "plain, decent, uncompromising rightness." As Jean Arthur said, Mr. Lincoln was "waiting for a man who could see his job and sail into it." That man was President Trump...and he's not done yet!!

Now We the People have peacefully risen up in The People's Convoy just like in Meet John Doe and the powerful, wealthy Mr. Nortons of the world, who control the media, have strangled, censored and shut down interviews with the Convoy for over a month. 

Just as in 1941, they're squelching and silencing We the People. Yes, even the Conservative Media, who patriots on Facebook forcefully told me are owned and controlled by the same demonrats who own and control the mainstream media! Two sides, same coin.

Well, that just ain't gonna fly!

If the "Conservative" media is too corrupt, controlled, cowardly, greedy and lazy to actually do some real journalism and cover The People's Convoy properly, then We the People will have to do it at the grassroots level: social media, emails, blogs, vlogs, livestreams, podcasts, bumper stickers, T-shirts, brochures, letters to the editor. If We the People all do our bit, we'll cover all the bases.

As Connell, a "hard-boiled" honest journalist shouts at Mr. Norton in the final scene of Meet John Doe, "There you are, Norton! THE PEOPLE! Try and lick that!"
