You've heard them barely mentioned (or totally ignored) by the Conservative Media. You've heard them misquoted by the Mainstream Media. So who exactly are Brian Brase and Mike Landis, highschool friends turned co-founders/leaders of The People's Convoy (TPC) in their own words?

On Wednesday morning (3/23/2022), Brian spent an hour with the convoy's YouTube livestreamers, answering all their questions, and later Mike Landis chatted with Sasnak in his truck for a couple hours. (Scroll down for the videos and their social media links. Calm down, Ladies! Both Brian and Mike are spoken for.)

As always when Brian speaks, there is wisdom, laughter, hugs and even a few tears. Usually, I would write a brief Cliff Note's version of his YouTube interview but, frankly, I can't improve on the simple, honest eloquence that comes from the heart of Brian Brase. It shouldn't be summarized; it should be experienced.

Every time he speaks, I am re-impressed with the clarity of his thought processes, the depth of his wisdom and the acuteness of his conscience and moral code. He is definitely the right man to lead The People's Convoy. But I knew that when I saw "We the People" tattooed on his arm!

You couldn't spend an hour more wisely and happily than listening to this one-hour interview of Brian Brase (/braw-zee/), especially around 48:00 when a dreadlocked YouTuber questions him on his personal relationship with God.

That's a topic many of us are uncomfortable discussing but Brian didn't shy away from the topic. And when he referred to his relationship with God as being "complicated," I nodded emphatically. When he mentions the hypocrisy he saw in so many churches and the lives of so-called Christians who beat their families in alcoholic rages on Saturday night, then pass the Communion plate on Sunday, I hollered, "Amen, preach it, Brother."

Growing up as the son of horrifically abusive alcoholic, my husband, Michael, actually attended a church where the pastor was in AA with Michael's father! Despite neglect, scapegoating and choosing homelessness over life-threatening abuse, my Michael like Brian Brase always held on to his faith in God.

But that's not the only thing they have in common.

For some people, loss drives them away from God, for others it draws them to Him. Brian has known both experiences but when he lost his fifteen-year-old son, Dominic, only six months ago it drew him closer to God and the prayers and blessing enveloping The People's Convoy cemented his faith.

After my husband lost his daughter, Caitlin, in 2020, the only times he's smiled and laughed when remembering her has been when Patriots wrote her name at Ottawa and Hagerstown and sent him pictures.

Two heartbroken fathers, both finding comfort and hope through The People's Convoy.

But I digress. "Meet" Brian Brase, in his own words:

Mike Landis and Brian Brase have been friends since High School when their playful dynamic was forged: Brian in the foreground giving shit to Mike Landis in the background...and Mike shoveling the shit right back! It's great dynamic that's a lot of fun to watch during the Morning and Evening Convoy Meetings. They both have the gift of the gab and are fantastic talking off the cuff (I can't do that!) and, come Hell or High Water, you know they have each other's backs.

This afternoon Mike Landis joined Sasnak in his truck for a great conversation with a lot of laughs and good information as well as a great story about meeting with President Trump's Staff in the White House! He expresses his passion for Freedom so eloquently  beginning around 1:25:00 but also conveys sadness that more immigrants, especially the Sikh and Punjabi truckers, haven't yet joined The People's Convoy. (Hint-hint!)

When he's not convoying and/or advocating for truckers, Mike enjoys motorcross racing with his kids. Oh! And trucking too.
