The Sun is a medium-sized star that occupies the center of our planetary system.
The mass of the Sun is approximately 300,000 times greater than the mass of the Earth and its diameter is about 109 times the Earth. For its part, the surface temperature of the Sun reaches 6000 º C.
On the surface of the Sun, appear the so-called sunspots that last a few days and are less hot areas of the surface of the star. These spots appear in cycles of 11 years and these cycles present a maximum and a minimum of spots, being the cause of electromagnetic disturbances in the earth, especially in the radio and tv communications.
