They are technologies derived from space research, and commonly use every day:
Textile fibers such as Mylar, insulation and very flexible and Kevlar, impact resistant plastic.
The laser in space was used to measure distances.
Teflon, water repellent upholstery.
The Velcro closure, spacesuits and currently widely used in clothing and other items.
Polycarbonate helmets for astronauts, and applicable in many everyday items.
Tools with rechargeable batteries.
Paintings corrosion.
Gas and smoke detectors.
Electricity saving systems.
The GPS (Global Poositioning System.
Tomography.
Freeze-dried food. 
Electronic thermometers.
Recycling liquid.
All these and many more, we owe to the Space Age, from that first satellite, Sputnik.
