While you can always figure out ways to make your floral budget work within your overall wedding spending, there are a few easy solutions to providing lovely color, texture, and decoration to your wedding day without shelling out major bucks. You could cut back your florals to just a few chosen blooms here and there, but then you might ask yourself, “Will anyone even notice this single rose on the table?” Or you could investigate alternative types of flowers—namely, paper flowers. 1. Claire & Eric

Talk about “wow” factor: to create a major décor statement in their industrial Chicago venue Bridgeport Art Center, all Zola couple Claire & Eric needed was a single wall of (incredible) paper blooms. Stretching from floor to tall ceiling, this narrow stretch of lavender and peach paper wedding flowers in various, intricate shapes creates an incredible backdrop for the evening’s memorable moments. After using it as a focal point behind their ceremony, the couple posed for a few portraits before positioning their sweetheart table (as well as their cake table) in front of this climbing paper garden to maximize the wall’s photographic potential.

2. Emma & Brooks

Similarly to Claire & Eric, Zola couple Emma & Brooks chose to create a stunning paper flower wall at their classically elegant Charlottesville wedding. Instead of using these paper wedding flowers to frame their ceremony and reception, however, Emma & Brooks chose to use them as a textural backdrop for their MoxBox photo booth. In monochrome white, the dimensional layers of paper roses, dahlias, and daises truly pop in front of the camera, adding even more whimsy and playfulness to their awesome photo booth pics.

3. Katharine & Bradley

If you’re musical, artistic, and not afraid to think a little bit outside of the box, consider crafting paper wedding bouquets from sheet music, like Katharine & Bradley did for their June wedding. Katharine’s bridal bouquet—a collection of sheet music-magnolia blooms—is completely different and completely beautiful. Each of her bridesmaids carried a similar handcrafted flower with trailing purple ribbons, coordinating perfectly with the wedding’s color palette. And the gents were left out either: Bradley and his groomsmen also wore sheet music boutonnieres. 6. JeriLyn & Randy

Like Erin & Michael, JeriLyn & Randy went beyond traditional wedding attire and décor by throwing a themed marriage celebration in Mesa, Arizona. You see, this isn’t just any regular bride and groom. These two are heroes…superheroes. Their superhero-themed wedding just wouldn’t fly with regular old flowers. Obviously, fitting to the theme, they punched up their florals a notch with paper wedding flowers composed from, you guessed it, comic books.

7. Rachael & Luke

The last Zola couple in our list is certainly not the least when it comes to embracing paper wedding flowers throughout their entire day’s décor. Rachael & Luke add whimsy to their vintage-inspired wedding by incorporating paper flowers in their bouquets, boutonnieres, and table arrangements.
