How I Am Getting Wedding Ready With Diet Direct WonderSlim Meals

I started the New Year off by getting engaged! After sharing the great news with friends and family, I quickly realized that I‘ve put on quite a few pounds over the holiday season. I have over a year before my wedding but I wanted to get a head start!

With all that being said, here are a few of the daily lifestyle choices that I have recently implemented to get me ready for my big day!

A New Workout Regimen

Finding the perfect workout routine that worked for my schedule and my body was a pretty big hurdle. My workout plan was a mix of cardio on a reclining stationary bike and strength training.

Fitness trainers usually like for someone to aim for 12 reps per exercise–sometimes even 15 reps–but I found that 10 reps per set  (3 times) were the perfect amount personally.

During my good weeks, I managed to hit the gym five times a week. On my bad weeks, it looked more like only two or three days per week.

Always remember though, stretching and rest days are important! Both lower the risk of injury and aid in your overall muscle gain.

Drinking Enough Water For My Body

When it came to drinking enough water for my body, well, I had a rough time. I went through countless apps and reusable water bottles to help me keep up with what I needed.

Generally, most health professionals recommend 11.5 cups of water a day for women and 15.5 cups of water a day for men. Mind you, that depends on a number of factors such as:

  • Where you reside
  • Your diet
  • The temperature
  • Your activity level
  • Your overall health
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding

To find out how much water you should drink, take your weight and times it by ⅔. If you are active that day, take your answer and add 12 extra ounces of water per ½ hour.

Eventually, I settled on a bright yellow smart water bottle called the CrazyCap. It didn’t remind me to drink, but it sanitizes the water with a UV ray and it makes the water extra crisp and fresh!

Replacing Meals with Diet Direct WonderSlim Products

Many experts agree that losing weight is a numbers game. When trimming down, working out isn’t as important as what you are eating every day.

To chalk it up, losing weight is 70% of what you eat, and working only sits at 30%. In other words, you can bench press as much as you want, but with a bad Diet, you won’t see the full body difference that you are probably hoping for, for your wedding day.

Now, I like to believe that I eat fairly well. I love kale, chicken, salmon, broccoli–you name it–but I loved them so much that my portions were, 9 times out of 10, way too large.

When I mentioned my dilemma to one of my sisters, she swore by Diet Direct. I was hesitant. I am a huge advocate for living a healthy lifestyle over dieting. Before I completely gave up the idea, I decided to do a bit of research on the company.

What I Found Out About Diet Direct WonderSlim

Diet Direct has a different approach when it comes to dieting and losing weight in general. Their philosophy is Meal replacement.

Instead of having high-calorie, huge portioned, and unhealthy meals, their portion-controlled meal replacements help you to lose the excess weight. And the more meals you replace, the more weight you lose!

The food for WonderSlim was also packed with protein. This was great since I was also strength training 3-5 times a week!

In case you did not know, protein can help build muscle, burn body fat, increase your energy, and even alleviate your cravings!

Something that I also loved about Diet Direct’s WonderSlim was that I was able to eat more often. In their plan, I was eating every 2-3 hours. This is meant to keep your metabolism running at its peak throughout the day.

I was Sold.

The more that I learned about Diet Direct’s Wonderslim, the more interested I became. I decided to sign up for the 4 weeks Premium Complete plan to get started.

With this plan, I would be receiving enough food for 7 meals a day! And at $1.64 per meal, I was not upset!

Once I chose the type of meal plan that I wanted, I was taken to an easy-to-navigate page where I chose what meals, shakes, and desserts I wanted to be included.

I was surprised to find out that I was able to choose! I was always under the impression that plans such as these just sent you what they sent everyone. No, if and’s or buts about it.

But not Diet Direct.

Being a huge fan of chocolate all of my life, I was ecstatic that there were so many options of meal replacements that I could choose from that included it!

Was the Food Actually Any Good?

The honest answer is yes. The food was pretty good! Way better than the styrofoam that I expected! And leagues and bounds better than what I probably would have made myself, if I am being quite honest.

The food was always quick and easy to make. I have yet to burn and/or ruin anything (yet)!

The shakes were definitely my favorite meal replacements. It almost felt like I was cheating on the diet because I was able to have multiple in a day. And they were delicious!

Ever had a Five Guys milkshake? These shakes were right on par with those (minus the whipped cream but I am lactose intolerant so I shouldn’t have it anyway)!

The cheddar crunchers and chicken noodle soup came in a close second and third place of my top favorites to eat!

Any Weight Loss?

As of right now, two weeks deep into my lifestyle changes, and I am happy to report that I have lost a few inches here and there. My weight is slowly, but surely, going down.

Something that I did not realize going into living a bit healthier was that I felt a lot better on a day-to-day basis. I feel more rested when waking up in the morning. And more energetic throughout the day. On top of that, I don’t feel run down, bloated, or exhausted when I am finally getting ready to catch some Zzz’s.

As the buttons begin to come closer on my favorite pairs of jeans and I am able to live a bit more with my upper body while strength training, I can feel my confidence-boosting. I walk with my head up high and shoulders back.

I feel more in tune with my body today than I have since I was in high school, playing multiple sports! I’ve missed this feeling more than I have realized.

Overall Rating of Diet Direct WonderSlim

These products are different than what I remember diet plans offering in the early 2000s. The food is filling and delicious. I am eating more than ever but I am losing weight significantly faster than when I made my own meals.

But it is not perfect.

Having been overweight for roughly, half of my life, I have had a few run-ins with my health. I’ve struggled with high blood pressure and problems in my joints from carrying too much weight.

Heart attacks and diabetes both run in my family–on both sides. So there are a few things that I have to pay attention to when eating new and prepackaged foods. Such as how much sodium I am ingesting.

Some of the meals are quite high in sodium. However, when choosing meals, there are a number of filters you can add when looking for the products that you would like to have shipped to you.

The issue with this, however, is that you cannot use the filter system while choosing the meals that you want. So, what I ended up having to do is have one page open with the low sodium options while also having a second page open to actually choose the product and add it to my cart.

This is a small problem with their webpage setup, but it can easily be mended. Other than that, I have no real complaints. Some flavors of foods I enjoyed more than others, like the Chocolate Cream Shake, but they all were good to have.

I did not regret choosing one thing over the other. Instead, I made a note about trying something new next time!

Overall, I am impressed, and honestly, a bit shocked, that I enjoyed the meals as much as I have thus far! I am happy with the results that I am already seeing and I can’t wait to show my bridal party (and fiance) my amazing results!
