Love cures people – both the ones who give it and the ones who receive it.
~ Dr. Karl Menninger ~

Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
~ Matthew 22:36-40 ~

And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;

does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.
~ 1 Corinthians 13:3-8 (NKJV)

Hello friends. (smile) Welcome to Day 14 of the A to Z Challenge. Love can be expressed in a multitude of ways. The most significant way comes from within. We can’t give what we don’t have within.

The two great commandments are love God and love our neighbor as thyself.

Everyone wants to be loved and accepted.   Everyone.  It’s a beautiful thing to know unconditional love as illustrated in 1 Corinthians 13:3-8.

Thirteen years ago, I fell in love with the New King James Version of 1 Corinthians 13.  I thought it was beautifully worded and provided a solid understanding of unconditional love.

This kind of love requires Jesus as Lord and Saviour.
This kind of love is mature and selfless.
This kind of love heals internal wounds. I’m a witness.
Praise The Lord.

I believe until we really know the love of God within us, plus spiritual fruit, love and acceptance of ourself and our neighbor will be challenging.

Until we love and accept ourself, as God does, its hard to receive love from anyone.   Only God can fill the empty places within. We were created for relationships.

Having a personal relationship with God, through His Son, Jesus, is the only way we can ever know love unconditionally.
Love is acceptance.  Love is a choice.

Knowing the love of God allows the ability to love our neighbor, who may not know love.

The upside of love:

Lifts up
Oblivious to fault finding
Values ourself and our neighbor
Endures to keep moving forward

Abundant blessings to keep the faith and enjoy your day.

I welcome your thoughts. (smile)
