To date I have three fragrances from the House of Thierry Mugler. I have A*Men or Angel Men, I have Angel eau de parfum, and of course I have the one posted above A Men Ultra Zest.

Ultra Zest was launched in 2015 but I was able to purchase it by the end of January 2016. A Mugler fragrance is of course notorious in the community and in the market for producing perfumes that usually has two elements: one it is polarizing and two it is strong! However, this fragrance does not conform to any of those qualities.

This fragrance to me smells of sweetened citrus, like taking a peel or rind of a citrus and then glazing it with caramel syrup. It also offers a bit of a warm and minty feel probably coming from the black pepper and cinnamon, which are listed in the ingredients of the perfume. But mostly what I get from this is citrus and caramel sweetness.

Like I have mentioned this is not as strong as Angel Men. Although it has been stated that this was created using the A*Men DNA which is the caramel sweetness and then it was mixed with the citrus to give it the "zest", I would say this is safe for school or office environment. In the heat of summer this would not cloy. In fact I was a bit disappointed because I have expected this to be strong but it is not. I can bathe in this fragrance and it would still not amount to being suffocating.

Aside from the feeling of being let-down by its not so nuclear performance Ultra Zest just like the rest of the A Men series this fragrance comes in a rubber flask, which is good for keeping the bottle safe from being shattered but the sprayer is immensely annoying! I had to cut the top of the bottle so that atomizer would work decently.

But overall this fragrance is nice enough I guess. I'll wait till the bottle is finished and then that's it. I'm done with it and I do not see myself purchasing another bottle in the future.
