Boss Bottled by Hugo Boss

Warm apple with cinnamon - this how I would describe Boss Bottled from Hugo Boss. This fragrance for men was launched in 1998 and the nose or perfumier behind this is non other than Annick Menardo. You can click her name for a list of other fragrances that she has created or co-created. But so far out of all her work this is the only one I have had the pleasure of trying.

I bought Boss Bottled blindly and it was not because I was feeling adventurous but rather because I believed the hype that most of the people in my fragrance group started. The result of course is a huge pile of disappointment. The smell of this fragrance is not bad, it is not something one would run away from. However, this is one of those scent that just doesn't appeal to me.

Luckily I got it for a song and I used it till all the contents ran out. I do not see myself purchasing this one. For me Boss Bottled is a "finish a bottle but never purchase again" type of fragrance. When I say this I do not mean it in a bad way. Again this is just something that does not work for me.

For guys looking for a safe, sweet-spicy fragrance with woody notes blended in, you must try this one. Whether in school or at the office I would say this is safe, it does not cloy, nor does it project strongly. Lasts on my skin for about 6 hours, so not bad for an eau de toilette.

I have already finished the bottle of this fragrance and if there is a memory I will commit to this perfume, that is the memory of myself being stupid and blindly buying something because of hearsay. And a reminder that I should never do it again.
