Must de Cartier

The House of Cartier is very well known in terms of watches and jewelry. But that's not all because just like their competitor VanCleef&Arpels the company deals with fragrances as well.

Cartier has 91 fragrances (according to fragrantica's database). Among the company's first offering is Must de Cartier (see photo above), which I have the good fortune of owning as it is the vintage formulation.

Must de Cartier was launched 1981 and in keeping with the way fragrances were made this one (vintage formulat) performs wonderfully. This perfume marketed for women is woody, powdery, and I get an oriental feel probably because of the amber added to it. It is quite sensual yes but I guess what makes this good for men too is that aside from the woody notes this one comes off with a bit of similarity to Calvin Klein's Obsession for Men. I love this fragrance and if you can find the vintage formula, you just have to try it.
