Back in the late 1990s from where I live, Calvin Klein's Eternity for men and Dior's Fahrenheit were all the rage when it came to men's fragrance. I however, refused to follow the crowd, so I did not purchase any of those instead I decided to try this rarely talked about gem.
Escape for Men did not come off as very clean and soapy, which was what most fragrances in the late 1990s were gearing for. Instead this one smells fruity but not too sweet. This has some woody notes and vetiver, which gives this a manly character without smelling fresh out of the shower, or too musky.
When I started collecting fragrances two years ago, I had it mind to get a bottle but somehow I kept getting side-tracked by other scents. Luckily I met a seller online who passionate about selling this fragrance to me, et voila!
As I am writing this article, I am wearing the fragrance and I have to say, this takes me back to memory lane, a time when my world was a lot simpler. I guess this fragrance lives up to its name.
