Water!

Ever since we moved here in the City of Malolos, my family and I have enjoyed immensely especially in terms of comfort. Malls, supermarket, basically everything we needed are a lot more accessible now.

But as they say, nothing is perfect. While we no longer have to deal and worry about the flooding brought about by the rainy season, one of the minor inconvenience we have to live with is, water. There is no water shortage whatsoever. The huge water tanks are more than capable of supplying the number of household in the village. In our old neighborhood when power runs out, it usually means that the water supply would be affected too. Here, there's a generator standing by to ensure that in the event of a power outage the water supply would remain.

However, compared to the kind of water that we used to have in Hagonoy, we found out that the water in Malolos is a bit salty. During the first few months I couldn't tolerate the taste of water coming from the tap. I had to use a lot of creamer in order to nullify that salty taste. And if I decide to use bottled water to boil for coffee it would taste very sour to me. I found this rather annoying since I like coffee better when it is black with sugar but no creamer.

Thankfully after many attempts, I found out that the solution was to simply mix half of the water from the tap and half from the bottled water, et voila! The taste has become neutral enough so as not to affect the coffee. And I've been drinking my favourite stimulant with more enjoyment ever since!
