Waiting for Wonder Woman

Superheroes, I guess everyone has one and for young boys it would always be typically Superman, Batman or Marvel's Spiderman - at least those were the popular ones back in my day. Nowadays, there are a lot of new characters both from DC Comics and Marvel that are being popularized via movies and television shows. But one thing that stays true is that every male child often opts for a male character - not me!

Even before I understood the concept of bisexuality I have always admired role models who are of female gender. I am a Superman fan but I am an even greater Wonder Woman fan. I believe the reason for this is my admiration of the female form. Men of course will have the automatic attributes of physical strength so even if the Man of Steel is stronger than a hundred earthlings, a voice inside my head still says: "well he is a guy so being strong naturally follows."

With a female character therefore it is more fascinating. I mean look at Wonderwoman she is beautiful, slender, and graceful. But it would be a huge mistake to underestimate her as she will surely bring down a man to his knees. I also like the fact that she has vulnerability, yeah I know Superman fans will say: "Superman is also vulnerable to Kryptonite." That counts if it could be easily obtained, but as for the Princess of Themyscera she has to train, and use her skill to defend and deflect any attacks that would of course harm her if she is not careful.

Sure, Wonder Woman cannot see through walls or hear a gossip being spread from a thousand miles. But she makes up for whatever she lacks with her wiles, with her knowledge and training, and of course her inner strength.

I was told the movie will hit theaters in June. I can't wait to see it, so until then I'll remain waiting for Wonder Woman.
