A Japanese Man Toko Transform Himself to Become a Dog

Having a pet seems to be the best way to overcome boredom as well as surpass having a feeling of being alone. Some people tend to domesticate Cats, some wanted Birds, and some are inclined to take care some variety of aquarium Fish while most of us, of course, the most popular, would love to have a Dog.

The term 'a dog is a man's best friend' was first used way back in 1789 by King Frederick of Prussia. He’s claimed to say, “The only, absolute and best friend that a man has, in this selfish world, the only one that will not betray or deny him, is his Dog.”

Research suggests dog ownership may improve heart health, decrease depression, and even help you live longer – it’s a symbiotic relationship that has been as beneficial for humans, as much as our canine companions. And it’s a bond that stretches back at least 15,000 years.

That's one possibility at least; some fossil evidence suggests domestication as far back as 30,000 years. If that’s true then as James Gorman notes, we loved our tail-wagging besties before inventing agriculture, language, or permanent homes and even before we domesticated cows, goats, or cats!

But did you know that someone from Japan transform himself to look like a Dog?

A man named Toko spent two million Yen, roughly around fifteen thousand US Dollars (US $15,000.00), to fulfill his lifelong dream, to look like a Dog.

Lasting about 40 days, a professional agency called Zepet help the man to design the Costume.

According to local Japanese news outlet news.mynavi, Zeppet provides a large number of sculptures for movies, commercials, amusement facilities and also produces costumes that have been seen on TV and costumes of famous mascot characters in Japan.

The Man posted himself in Twitter with user name @toco-eevee, he’s wearing the custom-made Collie costume. By definition, a collie is a sheepdog of a breed originating in Scotland, having a long, pointed nose and thick, long hair.

According to Toko why he choose collie when he was interviewed by news.mynavi, "I made it a collie because it looks real when I put it on my taste and costume. My favorite is quadrupedal animals, especially cute ones. Among them, I thought that a big animal close to me would be good, considering that it would be a realistic model, so I decided to make it a dog. Long-haired dogs can mislead the human figure. I met such a condition and made Collie, my favorite breed of dog".

Toko again said in an interview about the movement of his limbs, "There are restrictions, but you can move it. However, if you move it too much, it will not look like a dog."

Toko has also posted a video of his transformation on his YouTube channel. He also gave insights into his thought process.

I personally wanted to be an animal sometimes if you know what I mean, but for US $15,000.00, I could spend the same amount for something else and be so happy with it.

Cheerio!
