What Type of Personal Information Does One Need To Give Beacon Resources To Assist With the Hiring Process?

In a world struggling to stem the tide of data breaches and the unscrupulous use of personal information, job seekers are cautious about what information, and how much, they should share with Chicago job recruiters. In order to Address these valid concerns, Beacon Resources is upfront about the information required of its applicants.

Initial Requirements

At a minimum, Beacon requires applicants to provide a name, email address, and preferred phone number so that recruiters can get in touch with you to discuss your long-term and short-term career goals. In addition, you will be asked to select the area where you want to work, as well as the position you are interested in applying for, from drop-down menus. You will also be asked to upload a copy of your resume in one of the acceptable formats, which include Word and PDF documents.

During the Process

After your first interview, when your recruiter has determined that you meet the exacting eligibility requirements, you will then subjected to a background check. The background check will require your full name and date of birth, and may also require one or more of the following: social security number, prior address history, and any other names that you have been known by in the past. For example, if you changed your name when you got married, you would need to provide your birth name as well as your married name.

Information To Include on Your Resume

Your resume should include contact information such as phone and email address, as Beacon requires on its online application form. However, a full mailing address is usually not required. In most cases, the city and state where you reside will be sufficient. The exception is if you are relocating, in which case your resume should reflect not only where you reside now but when and where you are planning to relocate.

While a certain degree of caution is warranted when sharing information, recruiting companies understand your privacy concerns and will not ask for information that they don’t need. Contact Beacon Resources when you’re ready to embark on your new career path.
