We just returned from Boston late last night and had the best trip. We visited our friends who lived there and had a fun time with them. They took us all over, so we got to explore a lot and hang out at their beautiful home. I've been to Boston many times and absolutely love the city. It's clean and charming, everyone is so friendly, and I feel like there is so much to do and indeed something for everyone.

We spent our first day there doing a little road trip tour of Boston's North Shore area. Though it would have been cool to see Salem, we skipped over it as our friends say it can be crazy this time of year. We started our journey, stopping in Manchester By The Sea, an adorable little town. We did a little browsing in some cute shops and had breakfast and coffee at a lovely local coffee shop, Laughing Gull Cafe. We then stopped in Gloucester to take in the beautiful scenery, and is where the photos above were taken! We finally made our way to Rockport, which was the most idyllic, small, nautical town. We enjoyed lobster rolls on the water, and even though it was cloudy and spitting rain here and there, it was the perfect fall day! We ended our evening at the Topsfield Fair. My girlfriend is from Topsfield, and so this was her hometown fair that happens every October, and she grew up going there. It also happens to be the oldest fair in the country. It was a fair of epic proportions. I've never been to a fair so huge. There were SO many fair food booths, and the most amazing smells were wafting through the air. We sampled some food and walked around the vast grounds. It felt like such a quintessential fall activity!

I knew we would be doing a lot of walking, so I went with my go-to white Tennis Shoes. They're comfortable and pair with everything. White jeans were a true gamble, but miraculously, I did not spill or get them dirty. I got this Cardigan last fall and love it. It's oversized (wearing a small) and nice and thick. The quality is incredible, and I feel that the price is very fair for the quality. It also happens to match this vest *perfectly* (which is 50% off with code SALETIME), and I think the two look so beautiful paired together. I ended up wearing the vest in the evening once it got cooler.

I wore this outfit to drinks and dinner and a visit to The View. We walked through Beacon Hill and ended up at The Charles River Esplanade right as the sun was starting to set. We had a quick drink at Night Shift brewery beer garden before walking over to the Back Bay area for dinner at Buttermilk and Bourbon. I loved that we walked down Newbury Street because it's an area I had yet to get to explore. Next time I'm there, I want to come and just pop in and out of all of the best stores!

It was seriously the most picture-perfect evening with the best weather you could ask for. All of the sailboats were out on the Charles river and it was truly one of those moments where you are just in awe.

I wore the outfit above for the evening. I wanted to wear something cute but warm enough because we walked quite a bit. I also wanted comfortable shoes. Sarah Flint just sent over these Red Flats and I was in AWE. They feel like they were made perfectly for my feet, it is unbelievable. They were so comfortable and are the perfect shade of cherry red. You can use code THEBAGHAG at check out to save $25ish on this Red Bag (review here). It is one of my favorite ways to add a pop of color to any outfit.

We had really casual mornings! Our friends have a 6-month-old baby so we did lots of walks to their local coffee shops and so I packed a few casual walking outfits for this type of thing. This was on Deer Island, we did a 3ish mile walk with the most beautiful views of the harbor and Boston.

These Gray Leggings are my absolute favorite. They have pockets and are so soft and sleek. They are on Amazon and inexpensive. Amazon Prime Day begins today and I have them pre-loaded in my cart to see if they go on sale today or tomorrow! I am wearing a size small in the Gray Half Zip Sweater. It's currently one of my most worn pieces as the sweater is like Goldilocks for the autumnal weather- not too hot, not too cold. It's currently 30% off with code SALETIME.

This was another casual outfit for morning coffee walks and hanging out. I love this Layered Cashmere Sweater because it looks like two separate pieces: a shirt and a sweater, but it is actually all one piece. It fits oversized but true to size as I am wearing a small. The cashmere is so incredibly soft, and it comes in a bunch of colors. I was packing in a carry-on so it was nice to be able to pack this sweater since I didn't need two separate items. If you are shopping the brand for the first time and submit your email, you can get 15% off your purchase. These Crew Socks seem pretty insignificant but I not only love the quality and feel of the fabric, but I like the crew sock look but all of the other ones feel so bulky. These are the exact right height.
