4 Things I'm Looking Forward to Wearing This Fall

Puffer Vest// Cardigan
Dress// Boots

I have to start chatting about Fall because I'm too excited and just can't help myself. It's too hot to imagine puffer vests and sweaters, but if you think about it, that will all be here before you know it. The older I get, I am constantly amazed at how time seems to fly. Not only that, but things like these Boots tend to sell out early on in the season, so I tend to get a jump start on fall shopping if there is something I really want! Fall fashion is where I thrive. It's my absolute favorite. I love a high-quality cashmere sweater, layering, Barbour jackets, ballet flats, a cozy sweatshirt, and all of those wonderful things that come with the fall season!

These 4 fashion items are already in my closet, and I am excited to re-wear them this year, and all 4 items are fully in stock. As a fashion blogger/influencer it's quite literally my job to share all of the new pieces that come out each season from my favorite brands, but I have really tried to be more conscious of re-wearing and re-styling pieces in my closet because it gets to be too overwhelming with so much stuff! A champagne 'problem,' I am fully aware.

Dress

The first item is this gorgeous cotton poplin dress, and it's something you could wear now with sandals and then later into the fall with flats, boots, etc. It would be great for those of you who live in a warmer climate because I think the colors skew 'fall,' but you won't overheat in something like this in October and November. I also think the colors pair so well with chocolate brown.

I am not normally into big sleeves, but this dress is something I am definitely willing to make an exception for. The sleeves look so unique and special in person. I think this runs big, so I would suggest sizing down.

Cardigan

I got this cardigan in early spring, so I have yet to style it for fall weather, but I just know it will be perfect. I wore it so much before it got beastly hot! I love the ladylike structure of the sweater, and the gold buttons add some pizzazz and dressiness. This is a classic. It is so well made. It runs true to size. This has a cropped fit, so it best pairs with high-waisted pants.

I am picturing this in the fall with a navy or white turtleneck and high-waisted jeans with either ballet flats or tall boots. I think red ballet flats would be the perfect pop with the stripes on this cardigan! This could be a great office staple if you pair it with a cream tank and navy trousers, and simple pumps. I also think this would look so darling over a little denim dress and ballet flats!

Puffer Vest

I also got this in early spring, so I haven't had much opportunity to wear it or even share it with you all, but I have been eyeing it since my husband got it in November (it's unisex). It's so well made and has the perfect amount of 'puff.' I love the green color- we will match now, LOL. I know I'll wear it a ton with leggings and sneakers to run errands and go to and from workouts, but I also think it will be so cute overtop of something like this with jeans and bean boots.

A note about sizing on this one. It is unisex, so there are a bunch of sizes. I tried this on in-store. Had I not tried it on in-store, I would have ordered myself the Women's M/Men's S, but when I tried it on in-store, I definitely needed the Women's S. It's roomy, and the small is plenty roomy to layer over a heavy sweater!

Boots

I wore these boots so much last fall and throughout the winter. They're simple and classic and so well made. They're also really easy to slip on and off, which is a real plus. I have worn them in all of the elements, and they still look good as new. The quality is top-notch. They are also very comfortable and decently warm. I love the lighter sole, which gives them a more unique look. My sister saw me wearing these and ordered both black and brown for herself. They pair with so much, and if you are in Pittsburgh, then you know January-March it's really hard to wear anything other than boots because of the cold (bare ankles are a tough choice, ha!) but also because of all of the salt everywhere- I don't like to wear my nicer flats and that kind of thing because the salt wreaks havoc on nice shoes. Anyway, I am not ready for that kind of cold, but I am ready to hear the crunch of leaves under these boots come October and November!
