Still hanging out in the North Georgia mountains and loving this slice of respite. Last night, we boated to dinner, cocktails in hand, good music playing, and the weather was just perfect. Not too hot, with a light breeze. On the way home, we were greeted by the most beautiful sunset. It was one of those nights when you are just happy to be alive and enjoy simple things in life!

Not only that, but we spotted the full moon glistening on the water, which was just beautiful! I just snapped this with my iPhone. I brought my camera with me but didn't bring the right lens to properly shoot something like this.

All of the 'kids' have left except for my husband and me, so we capped off the night with a Harry Potter viewing in the bunkroom. Every year we watch at least one Harry Potter movie, and it's one of my favorite things. I am not one to watch many movies repeatedly, but Harry Potter is just one of those that I love to rewatch year after year. It never gets old!

Before the 'kids' left, we did a Red Wine Tasting that I will have to fill you all in on. If you have been following for a while, then you may remember we have done a white wine tasting, champagne, and rosé. The red wine tasting was fun and a big hit with everyone. It just solidified that I am a red wine gal- I loved almost all of them!

I often receive messages with a sentiment of something like 'you are so fortunate to spend so much time with your Family,' which is so true. I am grateful for it every day. My biggest tip for getting all of your family together is to plan ahead. Life can be so busy and full, and if you give people as much advance notice as possible, then more people are likely to be able to make the family trip or get-together. I think this is especially important if your family is scattered across the country or the world! If the trip is a success the first time, try to make it so that it becomes a yearly thing around the same time so people can start to work it into their yearly calendar, and it almost becomes expected!

My other tip would be to do the 'annoying' things to make family time work. Sometimes it requires effort. For example, my husband usually only makes it for one week because of work, so he comes down later, which means we are apart, and I have to drive 9 hours myself. My sister just started a new job but was able to take just a few days off to come down. One of our family friends and her fiancé drove down to Georgia for a half week and then drove all the way to Canada to be with his family at their lake house for the second half of the week. And another family friend is in school and was able to rearrange a few things so she could make it work. It really just takes a lot of planning, and, oftentimes, some sacrifices. It's all about prioritizing. Ultimately, I believe it is always worth it to be together!
