Clayton County Student Murdered Identified as Cedric Clark

Clayton County Student Murdered Identified as Cedric Clark

A little before 8am this morning, the dead body of Cedric Clark was found in the 5800 block of Eagles Feather Lane.

Clark, was a 17-year-old junior at Charles Drew High School in Riverdale. He also was a football player and well-involved in the school community. The boy was a week away from turning 18 years old before he was shot and killed.

Clark’s brother told The Atlanta Journal Constitution, “He was stiff..His lips were blue. I seen a little blood on his jaw,” as he described seeing the dead body.

The police are currently unaware of any leads as they do not have any evidence. They do know that Clark was with a friend around 9:30 pm Tuesday. The friend returned home without Clark and said he had no knowledge on his whereabouts.

If you have any news on Clark and what might have happened to him, we urge you to call the local police department immediately. Atlanta is plagued with gun violence when it comes to young African American males. The last thing we need is more unsolved murders.

Our prayers and condolences go out to the Clark family, and the Drew High School community.
