Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palette Makeup Look & My Thoughts

I had absolutely no idea that Morphe started to sell their products at Ulta Beauty, so imagine my surprise when I walked in there on Saturday and spotted the Jaclyn Hill Palette. This palette has been one of, if not the most, talked about releases of 2017, both good and bad. Many people felt that the pigmentation wasn’t fantastic, and some people just flat out said it wasn’t original. I came home and tore open the packaging because I was excited to dig in and experience the palette for myself and form my own opinions.

I love the palette. I haven’t dipped into every single shade yet, but I’ve played around with most of them and I think the pigmentation is fantastic. I love the mix of neutrals, both warm and cool-toned, as well as the few bright shades. Also, I have a super soft spot in my heart for shimmery eyeshadow, so the ones that really sparkle are extra beautiful in my opinion.

Get The Look:

  1. Apply Shade 1 to the crease of your eye and blend it upward.
  2. Apply Shade 2 into the crease of your eye only, without blending upward. This is just to darken the socket and give it an appearance of depth.
  3. Go in with Shade 3 and apply it all over your eyelid and lower lash-line. This shade is a shimmering muted green and I find it to be so unique and pretty.
  4. Finish off the look by using Shade 4 on your brow-bone.

To me, these colors are very earthy and really complement each other. I think this eye makeup combo would look especially beautiful on those with brown and hazel eyes.

The lip color is “More Creamer Please” by Dose of Colors.

Every single product I used on my entire face is listed below, with links on where to buy them. I adore this floppy fedora hat so very much, especially with an off-the-shoulder shirt (also linked below) that matches my eyeshadow almost perfectly.
