When Dose of Colors announced they were releasing new lip shades, I knew Campfire had to be mine. It’s a really unique burnt sienna shade that, turns out, is extremely flattering. If you’ve never used a matte liquid lipstick from Dose of Colors before, you’re in for a treat because they have one of the best formulas around. They are never too dry or streaky and they are 100% kiss-proof and budge-proof.

Campfire is a stunning burnt, muted orange shade. It’s somewhere between a brown and an orange and it happens to be really flattering. I was a little worried about how it would look against my skin-tone at first, but it’s very nice. It’s super pigmented, rich, smooth, and dries down to a completely smudge-proof finish.

The shade itself reminds me of autumn, but I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it looks against my skin-tone, adding warmth and a glow to my face. I think this is a pretty lipstick shade for year round.

Once the lipstick dried down my lips, it actually became a bit softer in color. It almost looks like a burnt sienna “nude” on my lips. Depending on your skin tone, this shade will look more intense or less intense. If you’re fair, you’re going to get a very true mid-tone sienna and if you’re dark skinned, you’re going to get more of a neutral shade out of it.

I’m really happy I grabbed this shade just because I can always count on the Dose of Colors Matte Liquid Lipstick formula and this lip color happens to be unique.
