NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream

Lipsticks, lip glosses, lip liners, lip stains—a girl can never have enough of these in her makeup collection, am I right?! Well, in my quest to find something new, I recently discovered a brand that I’ve always known about but never really cared to actually try out—NYX cosmetics, which, in India, is primarily found at Sephora. This company has a range of lipsticks, among other cosmetic products, called their “lip creams” and WOW! I don’t think I have found better lipsticks in my life.

What I love most about these lipsticks is that they have a moisturizing matte finish that stays on for hours without drying out your lips even while you are drinking and munching away. Now THAT is something extremely rare! They come in a number of shades that are inspired by names of cities like Istanbul, Amsterdam, Tokyo, Amsterdam, etc., and range from beautiful subtle day wear to fiery reds that can really amp up your entire look for the evening.

My personal favorites are Milan—it’s a light pink, which is just perfect for a Sunday brunch—and Amsterdam, which is the most beautiful red, and by beautiful I mean you might just end your relationship with MAC Ruby Woo!

The only complaint I have with these is that NYX’s distribution network is absolutely terrible in India. It’s really hard to get your hands on their products, and I have had to wait for as long as 2 months for them restock the shades that I was looking for. I mean that’s a really long time for a girl to wait for her favorite lipstick!

If you can keep that kind of patience, however, you will find them worth the long wait, especially because you won’t find a similar product at such an affordable price range. I can guarantee that once you try them, they will definitely take up a permanent spot in your vanity box!
