Book Review: 40 Juicing Recipes For Weight Loss and Healthy Living By Jenny Allan

The book has very creative juice recipes with some exotic ingredients.

A great combination of fat loss and increased nutrient intake.

Increasing total nutrient intake is known to decrease appetite, strengthen immunity and elevate mood, all highly useful when dealing with the stress of dieting.

Getting used to the consumption of fresh foods also helps down the road when the desired body composition is achieved so that, rather than reverting to the same old junk, one becomes more inclined to seek fresh, nutrient dense foods. In other words, one gets in the habit of being lean and healthy and enthusiastic about this positive development.

The ingredients are carefully chosen so as to increase the metabolism while introducing healthy low calorie fruits and veggies into the diet.

The juices suggested are either to be juiced (pressed) or blended.

Some of the recipes suggest mixing fruits and vegetables which is not for everyone and is advised against by some juicing connosseurs.

Overall, an inspiring read.

► Frittatas

The book describes the nutritional value of green veggies and how they can be incorporated into one’s diet.

The recipes are also free of soy, beans, nuts and seeds.

In addition to leafy greens, the author recommends consuming sprouted greens, herbs and healthy grasses like wheatgrass and kamut grass juices on a regular basis.

Tips are provided on how to make fresh, nutritious juices using a blender or a juicer and how to combine fruits, greens and fresh spices for best results.

Corn and peas are included in one or two of the recipes. Technically, corn is a grain and peas are legumes and are generally excluded from the Paleo diet.

Overall, great recipes for vegetarians and those looking to consume more nutritious plant foods and less meat.

Book Review: Nutribullet Recipes For Weight Loss By Amanda Stuart
Katarina Nolte ¦ 06/23/2015

Some of the recipes are:

▪ Melon-grapefruit-lime smoothie
▪ Pineapple smoothie
▪ Banana-fig smoothie
▪ Grapefruit-cherry-pear smoothie
▪ Cranberry smoothie
▪ Avocado-berry smoothie
▪ Apple-berry-organce-banana smoothie
▪ Organge-carrot-celery smoothie
▪ Almond-kale-honeydew smoothie

There are::

▫ Cleansing smoothies
▫ Fat burning smoothies
▫ Breakfast smoothies

Fruits and vegetables are combined which is not recommended as they are digested differently and are not digested well when consumed together

The book‘s focus is to inspire readers to eat healthier, prevent weight gain and burn fat.

Nutribullet Recipes: The Ultimate Nutribullet Weight Loss Guide (Nutribullet For Weight Loss) talks about the Nutribullet and its advantages over other juicers.

We learn what types of beverages and dishes can be made using the Nutribullet.

And, finally, the author explains how weight loss can be achieved with the introduction of the Nutribullet into one’s kitchen.

Each of the suggested recipes includes basic nutritional facts like calories, fat, cars, sugar and protein contents.

The unfortunate thing with inexpensive food processors like the Nutribullet is that they typically break down after a while, sometimes within months, which is why it is more economical to save up and buy a durable food processor like the Vitamix which is also used commercially.
