Lose Weight: 60+ Amazing Yet Practical Tips And Habits To Lose Weight, Burn Fat, And Feel Great! was written by the health and fitness expert, Sara Banks, and includes a free ebook.

The author covers the following:

– How to melt away stubborn belly fat for good
– Chemicals commonly found in processed foods
– Why they should be avoided
– Eating habits and other tricks that support fat loss
– Dieting science
– How to prepare for a diet
– Which foods to eat
– Weight loss beverages

– Fat loss mindset
– Basic weight loss principles
– How to best handle the whole dieting approach for best results
– Goal setting and putting together a plan to stick to on a daily basis in a realistic way

Disagree on salt and the Food Pyramid which is a scam when it comes to optimal health. The same apples to suggested grain based foods.

The quickest and simplest way to lose fat and water is to eliminate grains and added sugars.

As far as fiber goes, there is plenty of it in fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds.

Offers great junk food ingredient alternatives.

Disagree on butter, even though the suggested superfood oil is as good if not better and has been proven to support weight loss.

The author uses tofu and tempeh: yuck, the texture alone is beyond gross.

There are some great, halthful snack ideas.

The daily protein intake recommended by the author is on the low side which is surprising because it is well known that protein supports weight loss.

The author recommends lentils and soy as healthy protein sources.

The low fat diet fad and the cholesterol myth have long bean debunked. The fat that must be eliminated is fat coming from unhealthy factory animals and artificial fats created in the laboratory.

Cold pressed, unfiltered fruit oils and pastured animal fat, on the other hand are healthy when consumed in moderation.

Vegetable and grain oils are best avoided. The author recommends canola oil which in most cases is GMO. Unbelievable! Also most peanuts in the US are GMO.

“You can still enjoy sweets”

Yeah, if you work out 10 hours a week.

Recommends stevia which is fine as long the stevia is green like the leaves from which it is made. If the stevia is white you are looking at a processed food product.

Clueless about the benefits of whole, unheated, mineral rich salt. Thinks the only benefit of salt is that it makes food taste better.

“The free metal does not occur in nature.”
Sodium – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sodium is a manmade salt. Natural, unheated, unprocessed culinary salt is composed of dozens and dozens of minrals and trace elements. Big difference.

The type of salt we are supposed to consume is a highly nutritious, natural multi-mineral edible rock deposit.

Recommends milk to support weight loss. Skimmed milk and lowfat cheese. LOL!

Much of the content of this book is based on diet info found in women’s magazines which sell because the information they provide is misleading and often inaccurate so you keep buying and trying continually thinking you need more info from them. It is one the reasons people keep dieting and failing.

“… use blue plates …”

Unbelievable!

Overall, there is a lot of solid info in this book, but nutritionally it’s a joke.

Book Review: Burn It: Effective Ways To Lose Weight, Get Fit And Feel Healthy By Zak Khan
Katarina Nolte ¦ 07/17/2015

The author begins the book by telling his own story of GI problems which became so dire that he ended up in a hospital, unable to function. After being diagnosed with GERD and Celiac disease he decided to take matters into his own hands.

The author successfully lost 40 pounds and decided to write a book based on his experience. My guess is that much of that weight was water weight as is frequently the case when the primary reason for weight gain is a series of food intolerances and chemicals found in food (pesticides, etc.).

Details covered include:

● Weight gain and weight loss
● The growing phenomenon of fatty organs (fatty liver, etc.)
● Gluten intolerance
● Food quality
● The food industry and how it became what it is today
● Alternative diets
● The psychology of successful dieting
● Exercise types and methods for effective fat burn

Overall, empowering.
