I haven’t had a getaway in so long that I forgot about the post vacation fog. Even though I was only in the desert for a few days, mentally I still feel like I’m in my bikini on a Monday. Speaking of bikinis, I’m so happy I bought this one before our trip! I’m chatting about it below, as well as a few more items I brought with me on my birthday girls trip. 5 THINGS I’M LOVING RIGHT NOW
#1 sun hat
Ever since starting my retinol routine, I’ve been extra diligent about keeping my face out of the sun. So I’ve been adding more hats to my wardrobe. I Love the oversize vibes of this hat. Not only does it have that chic retro feel, it’s also functional. My whole face is shaded from the sun! And the black fabric tie makes it a little dressier than a simple straw hat.

#2 haute high waist
It’s really hard for me to find flattering high Waist bikini bottoms. They usually dig into my sides and not only are uncomfortable but unflattering. But these are amazing! The fabric is snug without being too tight, so the suit doesn’t dig at all. Plus, I love that it’s extra high waist so it hides my belly button, which I find to be more flattering. And the tie lets you adjust it a bit to your waist.

#3 bold shoulder midi
I love a good Midi Dress. They work from day to night and can be styled so many different ways (perfect for trips!). This one has padded shoulders, which gives more of a bold statement. I also like that it has an elastic waist, which allows the option to go with or without a belt while still showing off your figure.

#4 jelly feet
Whenever I wear my studded jelly sandals by the pool I always get compliments. They’re super comfy, too. And guess what? They were only $20! I love when that happens. My friend wanted them after seeing them this weekend. But they’re unfortunately super old, so no longer available. So I found her these equally cute, and even less expensive, alternatives.

#5 Twisted thriller
This is one of those books that you keep thinking you’ve figured out what’s happening just before another ball drops. It kept me on my toes until the shocking reveal at the end. The book centers around a woman named Alice, who finds love, happiness and a best friend after the death of her first husband. But her friendship starts to unravel, as does her marriage. And we’re left guessing why the entire time.
