The film is based on the real-life retribution of the 2016 Uri attack. It stars Vicky Kaushal in the role of Major Vihaan Shergill, who leads a team of special forces in the mission. 3. Tanhaji

Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is a 2020 entertaining historical action film that tells the story of Tanaji Malusare, a brave Maratha warrior. Directed by Om Raut and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Ajay Devgan, it stars Ajay Devgan, Kajol and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles, while Neha Sharma, Sharad Kelkar and Luke Kenny play supporting roles.

Tanaji film is set in the 17th century and follows Tanaji’s mission to reclaim the Kondhana Fort from the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, who entrusts its defense to his loyal guard Udaybhan Singh Rathore.

Originally titled “Tanaji: The Unsung Warrior”, the film was later renamed Tanhaji. Its filming began in July 2017 and was mainly shot in Mumbai’s Film City with some scenes in Pune. The cinematography is by Keiko Nakahara, and the editing is by Dharmendra Sharma. The music, including the background score and soundtrack, is composed by Sandeep Shirodkar, Ajay-Atul, Sachet-Parampara and Mehul Vyas, released under T-Series.

Tanhaji was released in January 2020 in 3D and regular formats. It was praised for its stunning visual effects, captivating cinematography, intense action sequences and compelling performances by Devgan and Khan.
