3 Arrested In Huge Long Island Drugs Bust

As per information from Narcotics/Vice Squad Detectives, an ongoing investigation into the illegal sale of various narcotics was in progress within the Island Park vicinity. Members of the Vice Squad and the Bureau of Special Operations executed a search warrant granted by the court at the address 17 Island Parkway. During the operation, a quantity of Cocaine, Crack-Cocaine, Heroin, Fentanyl, Methadone, packaging materials, and over $200k in U.S. currency were seized.

At the aforementioned residence, the individuals identified as Robert Stockdale, aged 38, Christine Lyons, aged 40, and Joseph Zimatore, aged 58, all residents of 17 Island Parkway, were taken into police custody without incident. Additionally, Town of Hempstead Building Inspectors were present at the scene and identified multiple violations, leading to the boarding up of the residence. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries.

Subsequent investigations revealed the following incidents:

  1. On August 16, 2023, at 4:08 pm in Island Park, Defendant Stockdale was found in possession of and engaged in the sale of a quantity of Crack-Cocaine to another individual for a prearranged sum of U.S. currency.
  2. On August 25, 2023, at 5:10 pm in Island Park, Defendant Stockdale was found in possession of and engaged in the sale of a quantity of Crack-Cocaine to another individual for a prearranged sum of U.S. currency.
  3. On September 25, 2023, at 4:35 pm, Defendant Stockdale, while in Long Beach, was found in possession of and engaged in the sale of a quantity of Crack-Cocaine and Fentanyl to another individual for a prearranged sum of U.S. currency.
  4. On September 27, 2023, at 4:59 pm in Island Park, both Defendant Stockdale and Defendant Zimatore were found to be unlawfully in possession of and engaged in the sale of a quantity of Crack-Cocaine to another individual for a prearranged sum of U.S. currency.
  5. On September 28, 2023, at 4:38 pm in Island Park, Defendants Stockdale and Zimatore were found to be unlawfully in possession of and engaged in the sale of a quantity of Crack-Cocaine to another individual for a prearranged sum of U.S. currency.
  6. On October 3, 2023, at 2:53 pm in Island Park, Defendant Stockdale was found to be unlawfully in possession of and engaged in the sale of a quantity of Crack-Cocaine to another individual for a prearranged sum of U.S. currency.

Defendant Robert Stockdale faces charges including seven counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, eight counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree. Defendant Joseph Zimatore faces two counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree. Defendant Christine Lyons is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree.

Defendants Stockdale and Zimatore will appear for arraignment on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at First District Court, located at 99 Main Street, Hempstead. Defendant Lyons has been released on an Appearance Ticket and is scheduled to appear at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead, at a later date.
