The beauty advent calendar trend has exploded in recent years and they’re a fantastic way for any beauty lover to get full-size products from beauty brands like Estée Lauder, Charlotte Tilbury and MAC at reduced or sale prices.

In fact, most major beauty brands now sell limited-edition advent calendars – including the likes of third-party retailers Cult Beauty, Glossybox, Lookfantastic, and Boots – in 12-day, 24-day, or 25-day versions.

They don’t just stock makeup, either. These beauty advent calendars are full of body oils, skincare, hair products, and tools.

Cult Beauty Advent Calendar 2023

Last year, the Cult Beauty Advent Calendar costs £235 but contained 37 beauty products worth more than £1,000. All of the products were picked by Cult Beauty buyers and included a number of bestsellers as well as cult favourites, and trending goodies. A large number of them were full-sized, too. This is rare with advent calendars.

Elsewhere, Cult Beauty launched the 2022 calendar with Mental Health UK and donated more than £75,000 from the sales of its advent calendar to this cause.

ESPA Beauty Advent Calendar 2023

Join 2023 waitlist

The 2022 ESPA beauty advent calendar had 25 doors, behind which were a mix of full-sized, and travel-sized versions of the premium brand’s bestselling skincare. The calendar cost £160 but was worth £319.

We’d expect the 2023 version to follow suit. We’d also expect the full-sized versions to be its bestselling products including its Refining Skin Polish and anything in the Tri-Active range.

︎ MAC Cosmetics Advent Calendar 2023

The MAC advent calendar is a huge hit every year and the brand usually finds some fun or unique design for the box. Last year’s calendar had a decent mix of full-sized and travel-sized MAC favourites, including a mini MAC Lipstick in Velvet Teddy, the MACStack Mascara, and the fixing spray.

Earlier this year, MAC released a new skincare range called Hyper Real and only this week it released some bright new eyeshadows so we wouldn’t be surprised if the 2023 MAC Advent Calendar featured something from either of these ranges.

Last year, the calendar featured £405 worth of MAC products for £165 and despite initially selling out, it did come back in stock a couple of times (including after Christmas). In case that’s useful when deciding if/when to buy. entry didn’t fly off the shelves quite as quickly as previous years, it did sell out within about a week online. This means that if you want to get your hands on £405 worth of MAC favourites for £165, you need to be quick.
