Reviews of Best 2 room tents

1. Coleman WeatherMaster 10-Person Outdoor Tent, Brown

This cabin-like tent has the storage of fitting 3 queen-sized airbeds. This is one of the best tents that you can find on the internet. It has maximum positive reviews on Amazon and you can also view the reviews of other people who have already bought this tent. You can easily fit 10 people in this tent, and this is also available for 6 people.

It comes with a WeatherTec system with patented welded floors and inverted seams that can keep you dry. It has a hinged front door for an easy entrance, and there is a room divider, which splits it to become a 2-room tent.

It only takes 20 minutes or less to set it up properly. The dimensions of this tent are 17 x 9 feet with a 6-foot 8-inch center height. It weighs about 30 pounds and comes in a Brown color. It comes with everything that you need to set it up, so you don’t need to purchase anything else for setting it up. There is a ring in mine that allows you to hang a light in the center of the tent.

It also comes with a zippered corner for an extension cord. It is also rain-proof, there is a visible rain fly, which lets the rain go down instead of the water being on the rooftop. It takes 12 tie-down stakes, in the setup. Some people have complained about the rain-proof feature of this tent, as the rooftop stays dry but it the walls get wet, so I think this might be a flaw of this tent. But, other than that, it is a good choice, if you are looking for a two-room tent.

2. Coleman Camping Tent | 8-Person Montana Cabin Tent with Hinged Door

Two-room tents

This two-room tent is supposed to fit 8 people in it. This is one of the best weatherproof two-room tents, as it comes with welded corners and inverted seams which help in blocking water from getting in. It includes a rainfly which provides extra weather protection. The strong frame of this tent can withstand 35+ MPH winds.

The dimensions of this tent are 16 ft x 7 ft with 6 ft 2 in height. It has a spacious interior that can fit 3 queen-sized air mattresses. The entrance door is hinged which makes it easy to open and close and it also includes an extended awning. It also comes with storage pockets, which are much needed for a camping trip. It only takes 15 minutes to set it up completely. It comes in 3 colors blue, black, and green.

The material that this is built from is Taffeta and it weighs around 22 pounds. This tent also comes with stakes, but few people have posted that the stakes that this comes with are cheap, so you probably have to spend $15 for stakes. But still, it is not a bad choice, I think the stake thing is not a big flaw of this tent.

3. 3-4 Season 2 3 Person Lightweight Backpacking Tent Windproof Camping Tent Awning Family Tent Two Doors Double Layer with Aluminum rods for Outdoor Camping Family Beach Hunting Hiking Travel

2-room tent

This two-person tent is extremely lightweight, it only weighs 5 pounds. It is said to be water-resistant, windproof, lightweight, and waterproof. The material used to make this tent is Polyester, Aluminum, Polyurethane, and Fabric. It is an easy setup tent, takes only 10 minutes or less to set it up completely. But I should warn you, that with lightweight there comes small room for airbeds etc.

The dimensions of this tent are 7x7x19.3 inches (18x18x49 cm), Floor: (23.6+55+23.6) x 82.7 x 47.2 (H) inches / (60+140+60) x 210 x 110 H cm. It comes with a variety of colors and you can select whichever one you want. Please do not get confused with this tent being a popup tent, because it isn’t, you manually have to set it up. The water resistance of this tent can only work in light rain, so if you are going to an area with heavy rainfall, then choosing this tent wouldn’t work for you.

You cannot use any heating source in this tent, because it is not toxin-free and doesn’t come with any fire retardant chemicals. It also cannot fit a full-sized air mattress. It is one of the less expensive tents, so if you have a low budget, you can use this tent without running into any problems.

4. Coleman Dome Tent for Camping

2-room tent with screened porch

This Coleman dome tent is made out of synthetic material. It is indeed a weatherproof tent and comes with welded corners and inverted seams which help in preventing water to get in. It has a rainfly and a strong frame that can withstand 35+ MPH winds. There is also an E-port which makes it easy for you to bring electrical power inside.

The dimensions of this tent are 9 x 7 ft. with 4 ft. 11 in. center height. You can easily fit 1 queen-sized airbed in it. It only takes 10 minutes to set it up completely and it weighs over 1 pound. You can easily fit 4 people in this tent. So if you are looking to go camping with your family you can surely take this tent with you.

Top 2-room tents for fitting in with bad weather

I’m going to list some of the best two-room tents that can fit in with any weather. So there for tents, the weather that we are concerned about is rain and wind. So you have to be sure to choose the one that fits in with both conditions.

Best tent in the rain

The best camping tent in rain would be something with a screened porch, so here is one of the best weatherproof camp that you are going to fall in love with:

Coleman Cabin Camping Tent with Weatherproof Screen Room

It comes in with 4-6 persons, so if you are looking for a 2-person camp, then you should check above camp with screened porch. This is an easy set-up camp, it takes only 10 minutes to set it up completely. Also, a carry bag is included for easy storage. Can these tents stand tall in the wind?

Yes, all the tents that are mentioned in this article, are made sure to stand tall in the wind. We have chosen the best possible camp and listed them here for your ease to choose from us with our suggestions as well.

How to choose a 2-room tent?

To choose a 2-room tent, you’ll have to look for the following things:

Material

Most tents tend to use nylon or polyester because of their less sagging quality when wet. Polyester is generally more desirable for its looks, however, nylon is more durable and not expensive. Also, there is a new material in town named Cuben fiber also referred to as Dyneema, it is a very good, lightweight material but it is super expensive when compared to nylon or polyester.

Denier

Fabrics are sometimes rated by Denier, which is a noted number denoted by the letter D, as in 10D ripston nylon. So, the lower the number the smoother and sheer material, also it shows how heavy the camp is. You just have to decide which one you want.

Footprint

Evaluating the dimensions of the footprint is a good habit because the 2-room tent term is self-assigned and non-standardized. If you have two people and know the width of your sleeping pads, you should check that the size of the tent is a little bit more than that. Obviously, you’ll have to ensure that the tent exceeds the length of the tallest person in your family.

Peak Height

Peak height is another dimension to look at. As the word describes itself, peak height is the total height of the tent, so you should choose one with as much height as possible so that you can sit up and walk well.

Packed Size

You should always check the packed size of the tent, some of the tents are not that big while in packaging but some are really long and cylindrical, which sometimes can be very hard to carry. So, go with the one that is lightweight and takes less amount of space.

How Many People Can Use a 2-Room Tent?

After a ton of research, I came to find that a family of 4 can easily use the 2-room tent as if they use one room for parents and the other one for the kids. Also, if you are going on camping then 4 friends can easily use this 2-room tent. There are many 2-room tents available on the internet, but you have to choose after learning what to look for in a tent.

How Big is a 2-Room Tent?

The two-room tent offers decent space. Mostly the dimensions of two-room tents are 7 x 5 feet with a 4-foot center height but there are a few tents that offer more space, you just have to look for them.

How Much Does a 2-Room Tent Cost?

Two-room tent can cost between $50-$150 depending on the features. But there are many other 2-room tents which are way more expensive than $150 but I personally don’t think spending money on those is necessary as these $150 tents work best.

Are They Waterproof?

Yes, all the two-room tents that are listed here, are waterproof. Mostly, the waterproof tents come with a screened porch, to throw the water away from the roof, so that it doesn’t get filled with water.

Conclusion

Choosing a two-room tent can be hard sometimes, but I hope with this guide I have surely made it easy for you.
