How To Use These Gratitude Prompts For Kids

Journal Writing

This is a given. Using these gratitude prompt ideas in a journal is one of the best ways to incorporate the practice of gratitude into your child’s daily life.

At The Dinner Table

Ask a gratitude question at the table every night or first thing in the morning. Gratitude prompts are great conversation starters and perfect to show your kids that gratitude is something to be focused on every day.

Before Bed

Going to bed on a positive note and with a sense of gratitude is a great habit to start. So make sure to print out this list of Gratitude Journal Prompts and check each question off as you go through them. Aim for just one a night.

Use These Prompts To Draw

There are no rules here. Some kids like to express themselves with artwork and drawing, so these prompts can work great here too.

Thanksgiving Dinner

Instead of doing place settings with just names, you can add the name at the top and then select a gratitude prompt from this list to include at the bottom of the place setting. You can use a different prompt for each person.

This is a beautiful tradition and a perfect way to express gratitude with your friends and family. Not only will it create some grateful kids – but grateful adults too.
