Vermont Business Magazine On Friday, May 5th, over 200 tradespeople came together in South Burlington at the construction site of the future headquarters of OnLogic for a Trades Appreciation Party hosted by Rearch Company. Attendees enjoyed a BBQ, ice cream, yard games, and raffle prizes. This event was twofold in that its purpose was to recognize, support, and honor the skilled trades while also raising money to support the Vermont Foodbank.

“We wanted to work with all the stakeholders of the project to take the time to honor the hardworking tradespeople who show up rain or shine, snow or wind, and put their heart and soul into a project of this complexity and magnitude. It takes the laser focus of all parties to execute on the Owner/Design Team’s vision. It is important that individuals who dedicate their time to fitting all the pieces of the puzzle together get the credit they deserve. Hard work and dedication is truly what we are celebrating. And, the fact that we were able to do so in a way that showed our appreciation while also raising a considerable sum of money for our neighbors at the Vermont Foodbank really made for a special day!” said Hunter Gomez, Project Manager at ReArch. Company (www.rearchcompany.com).

OnLogic and ReArch provided matching donations to the funds raised through raffle ticket sales and charitable donations. The total raised was $15,000. A check was presented to the Vermont Foodbank on Wednesday, May 17th.

“While the pandemic public health emergency has ended, many people in Vermont are still experiencing food insecurity as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Vermont needs creative partnerships and events, like this one, to continue to raise funds and awareness about hunger. We could not be more grateful to OnLogic and ReArch for their contribution to helping our neighbors get the nutritious food they need to thrive,” said John Sayles, CEO of the Vermont Foodbank (www.vermontfoodbank.org).

The support this event received from construction partners far exceeded expectations, garnering over 25 sponsorships. Prize donations and cash contributions were provided by: AC HATHORNE CO., INC., Breton, Door Systems Inc., Control Technologies, CREATIVE COUNTERS LLC, David Lothian, Denis White Interior Contractors, DI STEFANO LANDSCAPING, INC., Fastenal, Gordon’s Window Decor, Hardy Structural Engineering LLC, Kelley Bros, MEI Electrical Contractors & Systems Integrations, New England Air Systems, New England Floor Covering, OnLogic, ReArch Company, Skidrowe Sugarhouse, Sd Ireland Brothers Corp, Spafford & Sons Water Wells, SSW ERECTORS, LLC , St. Albans Glass Company, Stark Tech, Sunbelt Rentals, Inc., VHB, Wasted* PBC, Wiemann Lamphere Architects, White Cap, Ziter Masonry Inc.

Projects like the construction of our new global headquarters take an incredible team effort, so we were thrilled to have the opportunity to host this wonderful event at our building site. We’re so thankful to the amazing group of tradespeople who are working so hard to help build this facility. We also appreciate that ReArch had the forethought to make the event even more impactful by raising money for the Vermont Foodbank, and we’re happy that we could help contribute to such an important local organization,” said Lisa Groeneveld , Co-Founder and Vice Chair of the Board at OnLogic (www.onlogic.com).
