A green Oasis Calderstones Mansion House is a stunning wedding venue in South Liverpool owned by the Reader Org.
This Grade II listed building is nestled among 94 acres of parkland in one of Liverpool's most beautiful green spaces. Originally built as a private home in 1825, the house takes its name from the park's Calderstones. These six neolithic sandstone boulders are believed the be the remains of a dolmen. The park is also home to the Allerton Oak, which is estimated to be over 1,000 years old!
The elegant Mansion House has over a century of history, bringing couples together to start their married life. In 2013 the venue was purchased from Liverpool City council by the charitable organisation, The Reader and lovingly refurbished. In 2019 the venue was once again opened to couples to say "I Do".
Too often, couples regret feeling overly posed or awkward, their day photographed not captured, and apprehensive about their wedding photography.
Over ten years ago, we set out to challenge this, to put our couple's experience and the forefront of our wedding photography and what we created was truly magic!
The style of wedding photography we created was authentic and intentional. Neither pure documentary nor entirely staged, but a blend that captured our couples in spirit and essence. Light, when understood, and be used like an artist paints to create something magical, capturing reality but in a way you may never have seen before!
While traditionally staged group photos may not be your thing, rarely are we not asked to take a few. Even when it's simply keeping the family happy, we are always willing to round up a few group shots if asked.

WEDDING PLANNING AT THE MASION HOUSE
The newly refurbished space can host up to 100 guests the lush outdoor space makes the perfect backdrop for any wedding. The neo-art-deco open-air theatre room, added in the 1940s, can host up to 80 guests for both the wedding ceremony and your wedding breakfast. In the evening, these numbers can be increased with less formal seating. Bi-folding doors open out straight out to the secret garden and the verdant outside, the perfect private space in this stunning park
