Underworld Series Chapter 20

Nodin: I have dragged the whole brotherhood to the brink of war. All I wanted was to bring the negatives on the surface. I never realised that we are the epitome of negativity.

Drey: Your style is quite good for an amateur. You did something which i couldn’t have in my life. You have squeezed the oil out of the dried rag.

Menaka: Underworld is not a world of dark and sub-human creatures. This is the same world we live in. The difference is that the people of the underworld are the people who live two lives. One is a life which is visible to everyone and the other is the life of acts which are either futuristic or traditional.

Nodin: I hate prostitution and all of its less uncomfortable appendages. It goes by all the names such as escort service, red lights, kinks, pornography, hook ups, adult services and so on. The world is not equal. It doesn’t mean someone has to sell one’s bodily freedom to earn a livelihood. This submission of liberty creates a chain of submissions whereby a whole servile institution has been made and we call it underworld. That’s what underworld is.

Cooper: Yeah, I believe in your words. If the world had been a better place, women would never have choosen prostitution as their bread earner. Sometimes I feel it’s we who are dragging down the progress of universal freedom to the level which keeps our business moving.

Drey: You still don’t have any idea about the mammoth you have brought down. Prostitution, slavery, frozen pace of freedom, crimes, drugs, mafia, arms, politics, MNCs, business rivalries, crime-law nexa, all are interconnected to the extent that these things have become legalised in acts but definitely not in law. Why are you doing this?

Menaka: Yeah man, why have you staked everything for the people you don’t know. You have hit at the place which has sent the shockwaves to each and every corner of modern lives. I don’t understand. You own this underworld. You are the king of this parallel world. Why have you burned everything to ashes?

D’cista: I loved it, your courage man. My mama never thought I would ever get out of this dirt. Thou, it payin me good enough. Thou my husby rides in Rolls, my children study in Ivy leagues. Yet, I neve felt so good abou it. You rocked it man.

Nodin: You have the answers before your eyes. This well paying work is a dirt. However much we earn, we don’t feel happy with the way. Our lives are giant pyramids. Change the top and you will have a change bottom. That’s what I did. And why, we have a whole life to contemplate on that.
