Johnny Santiago's Weedsday Playlist: Perfectly Paired With Humo's La Neta Strain

For his Weedsday Playlist, Santiago chose tracks that he believes are cannabis consumption classics, and all pair well with Humo’s standout strain La Neta. He says, “This playlist was inspired by my journey with Mary Jane, and conjures up nostalgia of when I first started smoking to songs that really get me in a great mood, allowing me to take on anything my path puts in front of me. Just play these songs, roll a fat blunt of my favorite Humo flower La Neta and enjoy the good vibes!”

What Is Humo’s Cannabis Cultivar La Neta? A Zkittlez x Gelato Descendant

La Neta is Spanish slang that means “the goods” or “the truth.” This SoCal-born strain is a descendant of Zkittlez x Gelato and carries an incredibly fruity aroma with a sharp, pineapple taste. A proper balanced hybrid, having a sesh with La Neta flower may inspire calm euphoria that’s perfect for mingling at a gathering or relaxing at home. La Neta es la verdad, serio.

Aroma: Fruity, Sweet, Earthy

Effects: Euphoric, Relaxation, Social

Recently the Humo team told Gear Patrol how to roll the perfect blunt. Check it out for more tips on what you can do with La Neta and your other favorite flower choices.

Here Come Our Weedsday Tracks!

Fortunate Youth - "Love Is The Most High"

I had the amazing opportunity to work with Fortunate Youth last summer in a marketing promotion at a concert of theirs in Orange County. These are one of the songs that once you listen to it live, it's always playing rent free in your mind. “Love is the Most High” represents the essence of this plant as healing and loving.

Cypress Hill - "Hits From The Bong"

Growing up in Southern California, Cypress Hill was a major influence. They’re all about the culture, and provide representation of my Latino roots up on the main stage. I remember them always having huge smoke outs at their concerts, and they’re never afraid of what people think of them. “Hits from the Bong” reminds me of those times where a bong comes in handy and you're just having a relaxing Sunday afternoon.

*Editor's Note! Did you know that global cannabis consultant Andrew DeAngelo also chose Cypress Hill's "Hits From The Bong" for his Weedsday Playlist? What can we say - the groundbreaking group is popular for a reason! CelebStoner publisher Steve Bloom chose Cypress Hill's "Insane In The Brain" for his Weedsday Playlist, and music icon Rob Paine chose Cypress Hill's "I Wanna Get High" for his. You can check out Bloom's list here, and Paine's list here.

Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley Featuring Stephen Marley - "Medication"

This song is a perfect combination of rhythm and lyrics that expresses the ultimate appreciation for this plant. By referring to it as a medicine, it supports that people all over the world are realizing plants are better than pills.

Luniz - "I Got 5 On It"

This song reminds me of when I first started my journey and would sesh with three of my buddies. We would find a plug, each of us pitching in 5 dollars, and enjoy a few grams that would come in a small plastic bag. We are talking about looooooong before there were brands in mylar bags or glass jars.

*Editor's Note: Great minds think alike! Did you know CelebStoner publisher Steve Bloom also chose Luniz's "I Got 5 On It" for his Weedsday Playlist? Check it out.

Wiz Khalifa Featuring Ghost Loft - "So High"

I have to put my guy Wiz in my top five. He’s an inspiration to me because of how he carries himself, always having a good time and smiling. I appreciate his easy going manner and the way he puts it out there for the Southern California cannabis scene. “So High” is a feel good song you play at the beach on a weekend.
