(PILs). One of these cases was filed by a student in the West Godavari district who challenged the movie ‘RRR’ because of the distortions of freedom fighters Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bhheem’s stories in their roles as British Police officers. To stop its release, they’ve asked the court to refuse the censorship certificate issued by the Censor Board and hold off screening the film until the next time.

Alluri Sowmya from Undrajavaram in West Godavari filed a Public Interest Liability (PIL) against the film Sitarama Raju: she claimed that it depicted him as a police officer, which was against their way of life and hurt thousands of their fans’ sentiments. So, she asked the court to block RRR’s release, and that no certification of censorship be issued to the film, as per rajkotupdates.news RRR filed a pil with the telangana high court prior to release

The court heard the case on Tuesday. A bench of two judges comprised of the Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma as well as Justice Abhinand Kumar Shavali dismissed the PIL. They ruled that nothing can damage the reputations of famous people like Alluri Sitarama Raju and Konar Ramaraju “Poison may kill Socrates but not his ideas or literature,” they said.

Additionally, the judges encouraged the creators to take necessary measures to prevent any controversy in the course of its release. They also requested that the censor board make sure that there is no copyright infringement.

Remember, the film was originally scheduled to release on January 7, but it had been delayed due to the increase in Covid-19 cases. As per the film’s director, If these numbers continue to rise and the film was released, the film would not be feasible.

The ‘RRR’ film began trending on social media, with many calling for a boycott of the film in Karnataka because of the Kannada version not being given the same importance compared to Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions.

The film was praised by critics for its cinematography, direction and action sequences, as well as its music, and script. It received international recognition and was ranked among the top ten most-grossing films of India.

In February of 2021, Lyca Productions acquired Tamil Nadu rights to the theatrical release of RRR as well as Pen Studios took over North Indian rights. The film is scheduled for release on July 30th in 2020.

Hearing venue

Prior to the release of the film, SS Rajamouli’s masterpiece “RRR” starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan was questioned in court regarding the fact that it was based upon freedom fighters Alluri Sita Komaram Bheem and Ramaraju, which were said to have been altered. Alluri Soumya, a resident of West Godavari district filed the petition asking that the film be delayed and not be granted a censor certificate.

Alluri Soumya believes that this lawsuit is in the public interest and that the court should stop the release of “RRR” because it ruins the story of Alluri Sita Ramaraju as well as Kambaram Bheem. She said that the narrative of Alluri Sita Ramaraju was embellished, rendering it false; further the story behind Komaram Bheem was also misrepresented in the film, consequently, she believes that the film should not be released.

The film was produced by DVV Danayya, and directed by SS Rajamouli, the film has NTR as well as Ram Charan as the lead roles and Ajay Devgn as well as Alia Bhatt in the supporting roles. Samuthirakani, Shriya Saran, Ray Stevenson, and Alison Doody are also featured in other roles.

There have been a number of controversy surrounding the film “RRR,” one of the most notable being its promotional that features an actor wearing skull caps. Siddipet State President and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay was unhappy with the scene and demanded producers to take it out of the film.

The court however has denied her appeal and ordered that the ‘RRR’ be released. In the end, there will be an CJ tribunal hearing scheduled for next week and it will be interesting to see how this matter is dealt with.

According to reports that the film will begin shooting on the 22nd of October in Mahabaleshwar. According to the most recent update regarding the shooting 1000 fighters have been hired for the ‘RRR’ action sequence.

The new schedule for ‘RRR is in the beginning and has already won viewers their hearts. According to reports, the film will be shot in two locations: Mahabaleshwar as well as Gujarat.

Decision

The Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been filed at Telangana High Court by Alluri Sowmya who is a student from the West Godavari district. She argued that the portrayal of the lives of two fighters for freedom in RRR is in contradiction to their lives and misrepresents the reality. In her petition she asked that the judge issue a censorship certificate and stop producers from releasing the film.

The petitioner also expressed displeasure with the depiction of Martyr Alluri Seetharamaraju in the role of an officer in the police force, which she believed is in contradiction with his life style. In addition, she believed that the film was damaging Alluri Sita Ramaraju’s image as well as reputation by depicting her as a typical police officer.

SS Rajamouli’s directorial, written and directed by his son, is scheduled to release in the year ahead and will feature Jr NTR, Ram Charan and Alia Bhatt in lead roles. But, it’s been the subject of many controversies and was delayed indefinitely because of an increase in cases of the Omicron COVID-19 virus.

In the past, Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar struck a further attack on the film by directing them to not include any images of Jr NTR sporting the Muslim skullcap in the trailer.

The BJP believes that this could cause an unending political divide among tribes and the people of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Maharashtra. Additionally, The Telangana BJP has threatened to destroy every theater showing the film in the event that its protagonist is depicted as Muslim.

The Telangana High Court has now ordered the filmmakers to release the film if it doesn’t harm Alluri Sita Ramaraju and Komaram Bheem’s image. However, they have yet to answer to the court’s directive and it will be interesting to hear their reaction.
