Holy moley, how the heck is it nearly Christmas, may I ask?! What a YEAR! It is so nice to have something to look forward to. I Love Christmas, gathering, sharing, celebrating and getting the kids all excited. The one thing that totally does my head in though is the waste, the wrapping, the plastic crap that seems to make its way in and the excess. We do our best to steer away from excess but there are 4 of them, so it inevitably feels like a lot!

Anyway, this year I am making it my mission to help as many people shop sustainably, ethically and locally, so I have put together this Sustainable Christmas Shopping Guide. Love it, share it, shop it! You will find something for everyone but I also encourage you to think about activities and experiences you can gift as well, these are generally the most sustainable gift you can buy. Many items I have listed are from BIOME, who are my go-to place to shop for everything from gifts to drink bottles, eco inspiration and more, they are honestly a sustainable-shoppers dream. They are an Australian business who have been doing good for many years. I also try to purchase from fewer shops to reduce the carbon miles, packaging and postage charges. There are some other great online shops listed who I also support wholeheartedly.

Also note that some of the lists are interchangeable, as are some items, I have just grouped them this way for ease of reading and searching. For Little Kids 0-8

7. No Nasties Makeup for kids (4+) – I bought this for Winter a couple of years back and I will be buying another this year. The girls have been given play makeup sets over the years and I completely freak out about them slathering the toxins and chemicals onto their pure little skin! This kit is such a win-win.
8. No Nasties – Biodegradable Sensory Water Beads – These are THE BEST! Such a great replacement for the supermarket version, Orbeez, and actually cheaper, yes, win-win!
