How to Enhance Your Makeup Looks in Photos

If you’re looking into new Makeup looks and trends, AirBrush can show you how to enhance your makeup in a few short steps. What we suggest is creating a base makeup look, whether it’s just complexion, a monochrome theme or the enhancement of just one facial feature. Then you can experiment by uploading a picture of this look to AirBrush to apply different Build Looks elements. This gives you the freedom to apply and re-apply styles to multiple features. This effectively lets you try different color combinations, aesthetics and trends to inspire an IRL rendition.

Lips

If you’ve mastered the nude lip, now is a good time to try out a bold color on your pout. And vice versa. The Lips menu carries several hues of wearable shades that you can interchange for an interesting change. Which bold red lip suits you best? Or do you prefer orange or brown? Just like the real thing you can always take it off but without the germs or buying tons of samples.

Blush

Blush is a personal favorite of ours, in spite of how it goes in and out of fashion. For all skin tones, it works to add alluring color and can highlight the face beautifully if positioned correctly. Enhance your makeup with skin-compatible colors and the ability to increase or decrease the intensity to your preference. Get that rosy, youthful flush under Build Looks’ blush and you may just find yourself loving your cheeks, buccal fat and all.

Contour

For the places you’d prefer a little chisel, the Contour menu comes in clutch. It does what the name describes and carves out the face with shadow but you’ll notice something else. Highlight is also applied to the areas of the face that we want to draw forward. After all, you can’t have shadow without light, so the two work in tandem. Chisel out your nose, cheekbones or temple to up the regality of your look.

Eyebrows

It’s highly possible that trends in eyebrows have the quickest turnover. We’ve gone from highly-arched, barely-there wisps to heavy, censor-type blocks to the current reincarnation that appears in the “clean girl” aesthetic. That last calling for full, well-groomed but natural-looking brows. It’ll be quite interesting to see where the next iteration takes us. Find it with AirBrush Eyebrows.

Eyelashes & Eyeliner

Since these are super small but significant elements in your makeup look, we thought we’d do a smash-up. The Build Looks’ Eyelash options have got the range. That means from natural to full glam baddie. Is this case the toggle bar controls how dark and intense you want them to be. Eyeliner then adds to the mix with an eclectic choice of liner shapes and colors. Enhance your makeup with theatrical Sorceress or keep it cute by applying Natural.

Eyeshadow

Finally, we come to eyeshadow. If you’re not a lipstick person nor a blush person, you’d more than likely fall into the category of people who absolutely love Eyeshadow. And what’s not to love? In terms of enhancing your makeup, the options are endless, going from bold, bright or shimmery to a skin tone tint, perfect for casual days and errands. There are twenty-eight options to discover and draw inspiration from.

Important to note…

Skin Tone

Although not found under the Build Looks section of AirBrush Makeup, Skin Tone is the tool that will offer you flexibility with color. This tool falls under the Retouch tab and is versatile. You can choose from the ever-present, default skin tones to perfect the complexion in your photo or you can make it a little more interesting. There is the color picker that allows you to choose any hue in the visible color spectrum or choose an existing color in the photo. Enhance your makeup by matching your entire makeup to your favorite accessory or experimenting with contrast color contour to see something new. Sometimes a little exploration is all that’s needed to get creative juices flowing.

Save Sets

If your mixing and matching yields a combination that you absolutely love, you can save it as a Build Looks Set. Saving the set means that you come back to it again and again with no need to remember exactly what options you used and what intensity you used. This is also a great place to keep a barely enhanced photo as we’ve mentioned before, which you can use to create even more custom sets.

We know that was a lot but well worth it, don’t you think? Having these options at hand help make experimentation and enhancement a lot more fun since you can go for looks outside of your comfort or regular repertoire. Enhance your makeup looks with AirBrush, the easy photo editor and challenge yourself to recreate the looks you come up with.
