She says she’s ready to say “thank you and goodbye”

Millie Bobby Brown, known for her iconic portrayal of Eleven in the popular Netflix series “Stranger Things,” is gearing up to bid farewell to the show that catapulted her to fame.

In an interview with Glamour, Millie, one of Glamour’s Global Women of the Year honorees, expressed how she is ready to move on from “Stranger Things” as the series enters its fifth and final season.

The 19-year-old actress, who has been a part of the show since its debut in 2016, says, “I’m ready to say, ‘Thank you and goodbye.’ When you’re ready, you’re like, ‘Alright, let’s do this.’

“Let’s tackle this last senior year. Let’s get out of here.”

Millie’s role as Eleven on “Stranger Things” has been instrumental in her career. She acknowledged that the show equipped her with “the tools and the resources to be a better actor.”

Talking about the series’ end, she says, “‘Stranger Things’ takes up a lot of time to film, and it’s preventing me from creating stories that I’m passionate about.” She assured fans, however, that she will maintain connections with her fellow cast members even after the show concludes.

Aside from being an actress, Millie has taken on diverse roles beyond the world of entertainment. She is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, an accomplished author, a student at Purdue University, a movie producer, and even the owner of her makeup company, Florence by Mills.

Aside from pursuing new projects, she’s also gearing up for her upcoming wedding after being engaged to Jake Bongiovi.
