Mikee: “Hindi siya something na ikakahiya ko”
Actress-singer Mikee Quintos has revealed in an interview that she confessed her feelings for fellow “The Gift” star Alden Richards in the past.
Mikee and her best friend Mikoy Morales have graced GMA-7’s talk show “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Monday, October 4.

During the “Talk or Dare” segment, the 25-year-old actress admits she used to have a romantic inclination for Alden—one that was proclaimed and hoped for but never reciprocated.
Mikoy, who was also part of “The Gift,” knew this since they used to share one tent during their taping.
More so, Mikee’s current boyfriend Paul Salas was also aware of the confession that happened.
Mikee says, “Buong show, imagine niyo po, magkaka-tent kami, kaming tatlo. And nakilala ko yung pagkatao niya na sweet siya, mabait siya, kung gaano ka-genuine, sobrang God-fearing.
“And I just had to try to express whatever I was feeling. I couldn’t explain it, so I did express, but it wasn’t reciprocated.”

Despite the unrequited love, Mikee says she has already found her resolve, and that she now realizes the worth of her “tapang.”
She says, “Sinabi ko yon, straight up. I think, ngayon, nakikita ko na ang worth ng tapang ko. Hindi siya something na ikakahiya ko.
“Ang sarap din, I grew from it, I learned a lot from it. It’s an experience,” Mikee concludes.

Mikee and Paul have been an item for two years already, but it was only in May 2023 that they confirmed their romance.

During the media conference for their GMA-7 series “The Write One,” Paul admits having inhibitions in publicizing his relationship with Mikee. Such fear is attributed to his “trauma” from his previous relationship.
Paul used to date “Araw Gabi” star Barbie Imperial.
Mikee, on the other hand, offered Paul assurance and support during doubtful moments. As she puts it, “Sabi ko, ‘When you’re ready, sa right time, nandito ako.’ Ready akong tulungan siya…”
“At kailangan mo yang harapin, walang problema sa akin i-out if it’s gonna make you feel like… yung love, like this is the real thing, this is worth it.”
