Sexbomb members Aira Bermudez and Sugar Mercado have recently given their two cents on the issue that their co-dancer, Izzy Trazona-Aragon, is currently facing.

After her Son Andrei Trazona showed a penchant for dressing up as a drag queen, Izzy recently figured in headlines and hinted about her disapproval.

Izzy’s post received mixed reactions from netizens.

In the September 22, 2023 episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Aira pointed out that Izzy should not be criticized for standing by her beliefs.

“Kasi si Izzy, kumare ko ‘yan. Mahal ko ‘yan. Meron siyang pinaninindigan at pinaniniwalaan.

“‘Yung faith niya kay God, kailangan nating i-respeto ‘yun at ‘yung gustong mangyari ng anak niya kailangan din nating i-respeto,” she said.

Despite this reaction, Aira underscored that their differing opinions should have been discussed privately.

“Pero sana pagdating sa problema ng pamilya, ‘yung sinasabi natin lagi, when it comes to social media, ‘Think hard before you click.’

“Kasi ‘yung personal na buhay natin, hindi naman nila gustong malaman ‘yun. Sana na lang, nag-usap sila, hindi sa social media,” she said.

Meanwhile, Sugar, who is now a mother, expressed her sympathies to Izzy.

“[Ire-relate] ko rin po sa pagiging nanay ko. Kahit sino naman po sa atin, kung sinumang mahal natin sa buhay at lalo na at anak mo, nandiyan po ‘yung iingatan mo at gusto mong mapaganda ‘yung buhay niya.

“Naiintindihan ko rin po si Ate Izzy. Ang pinaglalaban naman po niya dito ‘yung Panginoon na, wala nang kahit na sino, kaya hindi ko rin po siya masisisi.

“Pero agree rin po ako kay Ate Aira na sana nag-usap na lang po sila,” she added.

Early this month, Izzy drew attention on social media after releasing a certain post insinuating her disapproval of her son’s foray into drag.

Izzy’s September 9, 2023 Instagram post expressed a longing for her son and mentioned some “disagreements” they have had.

She wrote, “I miss you Drei, you’re always in my prayer…everyday. I love you so much. And that will never be changed. Andrei anak, I love you so much to not support you on things that will harm you. I am always here for you…your mama, mahal na mahal kita.”

Confirming the aforementioned friction, Andrei admitted on his Facebook page that he lied in his interview last July about his mom’s support, saying he only did it to protect her. 

Andrei introduced his other persona on Instagram in December 2022, in which he calls himself the “newest baby girl” of drag named Sofia.
