Here’s why Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin choose to show the good side of their lives on social media

Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin Admit that they were both surprised when they first read their scripts for the iWant TFC series, “Fractured.”

The script asked for more mature portrayals for them and required them to say cuss words as part of their lines.

Francine says, “Noong una po, kinabahan kami kasi parang kinukwestiyon namin na, ‘Pwede ba ito? Pwede na ba tayo sa ganito?’

“Kasi nga po yung ‘Fractured,’ may pagka-matured na siya para sa amin na i-play yung ganung roles, pero at the same time, na-excite po kami kasi nagsilbing parang guide sa growth namin as actors and actresses po.

“Masasabi ko po na reaction namin sa script na natanggap namin, excited kami and parati kaming ready sa mga challenges.”

Seth adds that he and Francine collaborated in the heavy scenes with their director, Thop Nazareno, to make sure their partnership would work.

He recalls, “Kinabahan kami kasi nagmumura kami dito, sumisigaw, malayo sa mga nagawa po namin kaya pinag-iisipan, pinagmi-meetingan namin ni Francine kung okay lang ba na ganito.

“And then, nandiyan po si Direk, maya’t maya kami nagtatanong kay Direk kung anong pwede naming idagdag sa bawat character po namin, anong kulay pa ang pwede nating ilagay doon.

“So, masaya, masaya dahil panibagong experience, panibagong mailalabas na ‘Ay, kaya pala natin magmura sa acting.’ So, yun po. Ganung intensity ng acting.”

In “Fractured,” Francine and Seth play two young content creators who are trapped on an island together with other influencers. Playing the other content creators are Kaori Oinuma, Daniela Stranner, Jeremiah Lisbo, Sean Tristan, and Raven Rigor.

Aside from the adventure of figuring out how will they be able to get out of the island, the content creators are also yet to find out that the reason why they are stuck together is because of a sin they committed in the past.

“Fractured” drops new episodes every Friday on iWant TFC.

As the story centers on content creators, “Fractured” also imparts an important lesson on the use of social media: that not everything we see online is real.

Francine and Seth admit that there is truth to that, as they only want to show to the public the good things, but with good reason.

Francine explains, “Gusto kong i-share yung positivity kasi para po sa akin, there’s so much negativity na sa surroundings natin.

“So, parang gusto ko lang maging parte ng mga taong gustong magbigay ng liwanag sa mga tao to help them with themselves, or self-love, or with friends, family, sa lahat.”

Francine also believes that there are things that should be dealt with privately.

“Kasi ako rin naman po, hindi ako perfect, hindi ko lang shine-share sa social media kasi I believe po, mga ganung usapin, dapat personal na lang. Hindi na dapat ini-involve yung mga tao sa labas.

“Kaya madalas na nakikita sa social media accounts ko, positive lang kasi yun yung gusto kong i-share sa mga tao na nagpa-follow sa akin.”

Seth, on the other hand, knows that as public figures, they hold a huge responsibility, especially to their followers and fans.

“Bilang influencer, ano ba yung market natin as influencer? Sino ba yung gusto natin ma-influence?

“Unang-una, may mga bagay na ginagawa ng matanda na hindi dapat makita ng bata, so bilang influencer, sometimes, pinapakita ko magaganda lang.

“Pero tao lang ako, meron akong kapintasan, meron akong pagkakamali at yun, hindi ko na pwedeng ipakita dahil iniimpluwensyahan ko ‘tong mga kabataang ito na pag nalaman nila ito, e, makakaapekto sa kanila.”
