“Gusto naming mag-explore sa maraming bagay,” Kyline reveals
Not quite a while yet in the showbiz industry, Sparkle artists Kyline Alcantara and Mavy Legaspi’s well-received love team MavLine is rumored to end soon.

Such an issue prompted Kyline to express her thoughts in an exclusive interview with PEP.ph on August 1, 2023.
If ever it is true, the 22-year-old actress shows only signs of assurance, pointing at possible opportunities that might come once the decision is made.
She shares, “Actually, kung ganun po ang plan, okay naman po para sa amin ni Mav. Kasi syempre, gusto naming masulit yung youth namin. Meaning, gusto naming mag-explore sa maraming bagay—with or without the love team, okay naman po. “

Even before the rumors emerged, the thought of pursuing her career as an independent actress had already crossed Kyline’s mind.
“Actually po, before na mga interview ko pa, yun naman talaga ang mga sinasabi ko, na gusto ko nang solo,” she reveals.
Far from what she envisioned, Kyline acknowledges the decision of her management to put her in a love team instead—bearing her trust more confidently that it would work.
Now that there are ongoing talks about the possibility of an independent career, Kyline says: “Kung yun ulit ang plano nila o may iba pa silang plano para sa akin, I still trust them of course. Sila pa rin ang nakakaalam.“
Kyline and Mavy are both contract artists of GMA-7’s talent management arm, Sparkle.
Prior to being part of Sparkle Love Teams with Mavy, Kyline has not been associated with only one love-team partner. She used to be paired with Jeric Gonzales, Miguel Tanfelix, Manolo Pedrosa, and Migo Adecer.
Is Kyline open to having another on-screen partner?
When PEP.ph asked if Kyline is willing to be paired with other actors from GMA-7, she answers yes rather surprisingly.
“Hala! Pero oo naman po, Coz I’m ready naman po. Always ready to work with other actors.
“And I would love to work with different actors and actresses, so okay naman po,” she adds.

Just recently, a report from veteran reporter Noel Asinas stated that Kyline will banner the Philippine adaptation of South Korea’s 2009 hit series “Shining Inheritance.” More so, the actress is said to lead the cast together with Sparkle talent Michael Sager.
However, no confirmation yet from the producers or further details are available to back up this claim.

Long before the rumors, Kyline reveals that the thought of having separate careers was made transparently between her and Mavy already.
She shares, “Actually, noong nagsisimula pa lamang ang aming love team, napag-usapan na namin kaagad-agad na kung ano ang plano. Kung yun ang makabubuti sa aming dalawa individually, why not?”
More so, Kyline acknowledges that the decision will remain outside their personal lives and will not affect their relationship.
“Siyempre, alam naman po namin ni Mavy ang separation ng career at personal,” she says.
Kyline confirmed in an interview with Boy Abunda on June 12, 2023 that her relationship with Mavy is still in the early stages of courting.
Together, Mavy and Kyline headlined GMA-7’s series, “Luv Is: Love At First Read,” wherein they played Kudos and Angelica respectively.
The series was adapted from a Wattpad story written by author Chixnita. It was then directed by Marc Sicat Dela Cruz, and had its premiere on June 12 until July 28, 2023.
