Elijah Canlas admits to hoping for Miles to be his “last” relationship.

Elijah Canlas sees his current girlfriend Miles Ocampo as a game-changer.

In an interview with host Butch Francisco uploaded on July 23, 2023, the “Gameboys” star is looking at having a long-term relationship with Miles as guided by his “first and last” mindset.

According to Elijah, hoping and working on his relationship to be his “last” one is something that he has applied in all his romantic relationships.

“I always go into relationships thinking that hindi ako magko-commit into a monogamous relationship kung hindi po yun ang mindset ko,” he said.

He added, “So, yes. We’ve been together for two years and we are still having fun. Nandoon pa rin po ang isip ko.”

The acclaimed young actor also proudly declared that Miles makes him very happy. 

According to him, what really makes his relationship with Miles stick is the fact that they have shared interests and experiences since they both belong in the same industry.

“Na–e-enjoy ko rin po yung tandem namin because we have the same line of work and we have the same career. We understand each other. Naiintindihan namin ang trabaho ng isa’t isa,” he explained.

But what convinced him that Miles is a game-changer?

“Dati, may rule pa ako sa sarili ko na medyo stupid rule. Pero, siyempre, I am trying to be a professional, so, I don’t want to date people that I work with. Pero iba si Miles,” he said.

Despite their happy relationship, Elijah believes that there there are still areas that they need to work on, particularly, when it comes to enhancing their communication.

“Communication po talaga siguro… lalo na ngayon na we are spoiled with instant communication with social media, calls, and the internet. Pero iba yung communication on a deeper level, na isang tingin pa lang, mas nagkakaintindihan na kayo. I think nakukuha naman ‘yun over time,” said Elijah

Elijah and Miles have gone public with their romance in May 2022. Both were cast members of the 2020 TV5 drama series “Paano ang Pangako?”
