Barbie: “It’s giving main character vibe”

Kapuso actress Barbie Forteza has answered a tweet regarding her possible date for the upcoming GMA Gala Night 2023 this Saturday, July 21.

Barbie has quote-retweeted a post asking who might be her partner for the said event.

In her tweet, Barbie emphasized her current health condition prior to the gala. 

“HAHAHAHA gusto ko yung ito na agad ang iniisip niyo. Samantalang ako, ginagawa ang lahat para magpagaling dahil may trabaho pa ko bago mag-Gala [sick and pill emoji] not covid tho. Gumive up nalang talaga ang (sexy) body ko sa dami ng blessings this month. Amen,” she tweets.

“Pero gusto ko tong mga paganto ha? It’s giving main character vibe! Nakakafretty, indeed! Char,” she adds. 

Meanwhile, netizens have flocked to the tweet with their well-wishes for Barbie’s health status. 

Barbie Forteza is currently paired with David Licauco, after their chemistry was noticed by fans in the hit series “Maria Clara at Ibarra.” Their love team is now popularly known as BarDa. They are set to headline the TV adaptation of Sharon Cuneta and Robin Padilla’s movie, “Maging Sino Ka Man.”

But in real life, it is known that Barbie has a boyfriend, actor Jak Roberto. The JakBie tandem started as workmates in the primetime series “Meant To Be.” While their characters did not end up in the show, it started the romance between the two of them.

David Licauco and Jak Roberto are friends

While fans constantly pit both team-ups against each other, David Licauco and Jak Roberto have remained diplomatic with each other. Such was then confirmed by David who recently appeared in Bea Alonzo’s lie detector challenge. 

“We’re friends. Artista din kasi siya. I think he knows all the ins and outs of this industry,” he says. 

All the more, he also has nothing but good words for Barbie, who he labels as a “good partner” for Jak. 

“I think si Barbie, hindi rin naman nagkukulang to give him assurance. Knowing Barbie, she’s a good person. I think that she’s a good partner also,” David remarks.
