Piolo admitted that he has gotten used to being alone after being single for more than 10 years

Ultimate Heartthrob Piolo Pascual has broken a few ladies’ hearts anew by announcing that he does not see himself being in a relationship at the moment.

“Ano ‘yun?” he coyly answered when asked by vlogger and host Ogie Diaz if he still has time for love on his vlog published on June 6, 2023.

“Sabi ng pastor sa akin, ‘Mahirap ‘yan kapag nawili ka na mag-isa ka lang. Kapag nawili ka na wala kang kasama, baka masanay ka at hndi mo hanapin.’ I think that’s what happened,” he said.

However, he admits that there are times when he longs to be with a partner.

“I’ve been single for so many years. Of course, there are nights na sana may katabi ka pero I’m not the type na gusto kong may kasama. Nasanay na ako na ganito,” he explained.

The lead actor of the musical play “Ibarra” stressed that he especially appreciates the independence of being single.

“Wala kang pinagrereportan, wala kang kailangang uwian. Siguro, pagtanda ko ng kaunti, aabot ako doon. Pero sa ngayon talaga, I don’t see it happening anytime,” he said.

Piolo is currently not entertaining the thought of being in a relationship because he has his hands full with projects left and right. 

“I’m booked until next year so I don’t have time for it. Even if I want it, wala naman akong time. Saan ko siya ilalagay? ‘Yun ang downside ng pagiging busy. Wala akong panahon for that,” he said.

Piolo and his own family

Nonetheless, the actor is not closing his doors to falling in love and building his own family in the future.

“Dadating naman tayo doon. Since lalaki tayo, hindi kailangan magmadali. Tumanda man ako, pwede pa rin ako magkaanak. It’s just that for now, this is my priority,” he explained.

Piolo added, “And I feel na ang dami ko pang pwedeng gawin, ang dami ko pang gustong gawin na sana magawa ko before I settle down. Even if time is against me, I know dadating at dadating ‘yun if it’s for me.”

While he remains positive about that, Piolo is also aware that there is a chance that it might not happen but he is also ready for that.

“There’s my family, there’s my son. There are people around me. But hindi ko siya talaga iniisip, ayaw ko muna,” he said.

When asked if he’s open to having flings instead of serious relationships, he said: “Hindi, e, sayang naman yung investment.

“Huwag naman yung gamitan, just because kailangan or just because gusto mo. Kung hindi ka naman makakapag-commit and hindi mo kaya panindigan because you don’t have time for it, huwag na lang. I brush it off or hindi ko nalang iniisip.”

Piolo revealed that he has actually been single for a decade now.

But before anyone could speculate, Piolo clarified that he’s not single because he’s been traumatized but it’s more that he has different priorities: “Inasawa ko na ‘yung trabaho ko, e.”

Aside from “Ibarra,” which will be running this June, Piolo is also set to star in a film together with Kyle Echarri titled “The Ride.” Then he would also be appearing in the GomBurZa film as Pedro Pelaez.

Then in July, he will be on tour. Soon as he gets back in August or September, he will be filming yet another movie.
