ESPN REPORT: Karter Knox sign contract deal with Arkansas Razorbacks….

Karter Knox, a five-star prospect, decommitted from Kentucky after head coach John Calipari left the team. However, he has now recommitted to Arkansas under Calipari. “Throughout my whole recruiting process, Coach Cal always said he wants to make me a pro, and I trust that he will do that for me at Arkansas,” Knox said on his Instagram account on Monday. It’s a dream come true for me to play for two coaches I respect, associate head coach Kenny Payne and I get along well. I can’t wait to go there, start working, and win a championship for Fayetteville.” Payne, who was Louisville’s head coach for the previous two seasons, inked a three-year deal with Arkansas last week. Payne worked as Kentucky’s coach under Calipari from 2010 to 20.

Knox, the younger brother of NBA player Kevin Knox, is ranked No. 7 among small forwards and No. 22 overall in the Class of 2024 by 247Sports composite. After playing at Kentucky for a single season under Calipari, Kevin Knox was selected ninth overall in the 2018 NBA Draft. This season in the Overtime Elite League, Karter Knox averaged 22.2 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 30 minutes per game. Knox scored 19.8 points in just 24 minutes a game during the Nike EYBL in the previous spring and summer. The first player from Kentucky to follow Calipari to Arkansas since Mark Pope took over as the Wildcats’ coach was 7-foot-2 freshman Zvonimir Ivisic last week.
