NEWS NOW : Phil Hay makes surprise revelation over Leeds United’s previous stance on exit for Burnley target

Leeds United winger Summerville came to the rescue in spectacular fashion this weekend. The Whites led Norwich City 2-0 before Shane Duffy’s own goal gave the visitors a glimmer of hope at Carrow Road.
With the score at 2-1, the match was perfectly set for Leeds United’s hero, and Summerville took his place. He scored twice to seal a precious 3-2 victory over Daniel Farke’s side, extending their winning streak to three and lifting the Whites to third place in the Championship table
But now The Athletic has highlighted just how dire the Dutch generator’s situation may have been over the summer.
Interest in Summerville over the summer has been well documented, but Phil Hay reports that Leeds United are in fact ready to welcome the 21-year-old when the transfer window opens. Farke came in late and wanted to keep him and by the time Burnley made a late offer, the answer was no.
It seems Summerville also maintains an interest in the future. Fabrizio Romano reported this weekend that following summer interest from Everton, Burnley and Bournemouth, more Premier League clubs are monitoring him ahead of January.
With the form Summerville is in, Leeds United may have to fight hard to keep him. His exploits against Norwich City mean he has now scored four goals in his last three games. In total, he has four goals and two assists in nine league matches.

At just 21 years old, Summerville is unsurprisingly one of the club’s brightest talents and after staying on this summer his ability has really been shown in the second division .
